1994 Toyota Pickup 22RE
This appears to be an exact copy of the stock head. I read complaints about the cam wearing out quickly so I swapped in a new LCE cam with a new set of factory rockers. Install was straight forward and my coolant leak is gone. So far so good.

Too good to be true
Less than $300 for a complete head with cam?!? Looked good, installed ok & ran fine. Less than 2,000 miles later, 4 cam lobes are worn down flat! Spent some time trying to figure out why it (95 4Runner) loss power & was popping through the intake. While checking valve clearance, I discovered the worn cam lobes. What a pain in the arse! If you buy this, you should probably re-use the original cam.

Brand new head-1 year now
Came well packed. The head bolted right up with no problems, I was surprised. I have been driving the truck for about 5 months now with no problems. Don't think I could have gotten the old head rebuilt for this price. Very happy with the purchase. 1 year up date- I have been driving my truck with this head for a year now with absolutely no problems. Still passes smog in Calif. Money well spent. March 2022 up date still going strong. No head related issues yet. Still money well spent.

AMAZING!I needed a head for a 1988 22re.It was looking at $300.00 just to remove and replace the old head, let alone what the machine shop may find? I found this HEAD on Amazon and thought NO WAY!?!?After reading the reviews I took a chance. To my complete and utter SHOCK! It was on my doorstep! 3 Days later!!!Shipped FREE to HAWAII withAmazon PRIME! Came nicely packed,a box in a box in a box AND then snugly tucked inside a form fitting styrofoam box. Nice! It came COMPLETE! with cam ready to bolt on. It's quiet and my mechanic was happy with it.I would definitely buy it again or recommend it to a friend!

Put your oem cam in it
Nice head but was not impressed with the cam used new rocker Assembly and Assembly lube and the cam grounded all its lobes off luckily I had a oem used cam and rocker Assembly and now it’s good to go ! Other then that can’t really complain about the quality of the cam because the head was a great deal

Worn down canshaft less than 500 miles
Product went on easy and followed proper break in procedure with premium conventional oil, zddp and moly. Less than 500 miles later my completely rebuilt motor is full of ground up camshaft metal. I can not be more disappointed. Wrote to vendor and Amazon and was shipped a replacement almost without question. I am very leary to try and clean the metal from my motor and see if it will even run without an entire new rebuild while installing the same parts that ruined my hard work to begin with. I am not happy. I spent nearly 2 months on this rebuild project. Now I have a truck that is inoperable. So I am supposed to foot the bill for another complete rebuild of my motor because of the damage caused by a faulty camshaft. This has caused me unbeleivable financial hardship as I have no vehicle now and depekd on my truck to pay my bills. I reallybwas hoping to have a motor that wouod last another 180,000 miles after thos rebuild. Now all I have is rent due in 2 weeks and a broken down truck. I could cry right now.

Just the ticket
Decided to go with this instead of getting the old head decked. Went in to a 95 4Runner with no issues. Broke in the cam with special high-zinc oil (look up 22re break in procedure on 22re performance dot com). Working great, just clicked over 500 miles on it.
