This is the good kind of mastic that is workable in freezing temps.
Anytime I’m scratching my head to find a quick sealant mastic is my go to. This is the real stuff.

Perfect for mounting a third brake light AND tires!
I bought this to mount and seal a high mount third brake light for a Toyota 86 and it worked perfectly. It came with 3m automotive tape which worked until the sun melted it. It also didn't have any seal to prevent light bleeding in the back window. This stuff works like industrial silly putty, very easy to apply but I'm not even sure I could remove it if I wanted to. Excellent product and I have tons left over for other projects. Very pleased.UPDATE 1-21-2019: Apparently you can also use this stuff to patch a tire in an emergency. I had driven to work and hit a nail without realizing it until I went outside to lunch and saw my tire was flat. Thankfully I still had this stuff in the trunk from my original project, so I cut off about two to three inches, flattened it out in my hand, and molded it over the hole after I took the nail out. Then I cut a piece of cloth roughly the same size, and then I applied it on top to keep it from sticking to the road too much. Then I backed the car over the patch, and filled the tire to spec with a portable air compressor I borrowed from a co-worker. It comes off after every drive but it keeps the air in the tire long enough to make it home or to a garage to get it replaced. It's not the best option or the intended use but it works in a pinch on punctured tires.

Great all purpose sealant tape.
Great quality, great price compared to the 3m brand. Was stickier than the 3m brand which is what I needed. Very useful for many applications not just for sealing. I use a small piece on the inside of sockets to hold whatever I'm bolting down or screwing in, without risking of falling out in a hard to reach areas. I also use it to hold down auto trim pieces where clips might have broken. Great stuff for many uses.

Good Stuff
I used this in several places on my old truck and it worked fine sealing the areas. You can stretch it for a thinner fit or double it up for thicker fits. Good stuff at a reasonable cost.
