Best soccer game I've played so far.
Coming from a country where soccer is our life, and being a soccer player myself, this is the best and most realistic soccer game I have played thus far. This also coming from someone who's been a Pro Evolution fanboy since Super Star Soccer came out for Super Nintendo. For more than 13 years I've played Konami, Konami, Konami and always defended their soccer games no matter what, and in my opinion I was right, but this year EA Sports really slapped me in the mouth. FIFA 10 is just very realistic in movement of players and ball physics, it gives you so much freedom to dribble (the right analog stick is dedicated just to dribbling), lots and lots of animations, intelligent AI and amazing online play, not to mention Be a Pro Mode, which is really making Become A Legend from PES look bad. Playing with someone else is also always exciting, and not two games are the same...whereas sometimes I felt they where that way in PES.CONS: The only two cons I can honestly think about is lack of Champions League either in Be a Pro or Manager modes...and the inability to save your replays, both of which really, REALLY suck so bad, and I hope they're implemented in an update. This is really not an in-dept review of this game, this is just me as someone who's been a PES fan from a long time ago telling you this game really grabs the soul and passion of soccer and puts it in your screen. I'm not saying PES 10 sucks in anyway, but after playing both, I liked FIFA 10 better. If pro evolution improves next year, I'll go back to it, but until now, FIFA10 remains the best soccer game I've ever played. This is a must for someone who's looking for the greatest soccer game up to date.

Improved Gameplay
I just got the game a few days ago but things I noticed so far. The game is really fluid and a little faster than 09. Quick free kicks when you get fouled mid field the player will simply pick up the ball place it down and GAME ON GARTH. Getting carded is no longer a cut shot but simply the ref runs up to the player and books him (the camera angle stays the same).Dribbling is much better you can now absorb contact and push the ball.Again game speed is much faster so you don't have to use turbo all the time and burn out your players come 2nd half. Shooting from distance now works in 09 and previous years the only to score was on a breakaway or 10 feet from the goalie (Gerrard Lampard we doing work this year)Let me stop rambling. Fifa 10 is a great game alot of people would say PES. I was one of those guys but Fifa 09 really put the ball in their court and 10 just improves off last years game.Madden junkies that want to play a sports game where it doesn't take an hour to play a game pick up Fifa you can probably get about 4-5 matches out in the same time it takes to play a madden game online.

Amazing game, still FIFA though
Let me start out by saying I love this game. The best FIFA ever made, even better than 11 and most likely 12 unless they fix one thing... The fact that no matter how perfect your opportunities to score in game play, it seems that some games there is a wall in front of the goal and others theres not even a goalie. I either play games, against computer and friends, that there is a lot of goals scored for both teams or 0 or 1. I feel this is ridiculous and annoying to the point where I want to throw the controller sometimes after making a perfect run. Other than that, it is the perfect game for anyone who enjoys soccer in any regards.

Very fun, with a few problems
I bought FIFA 10 a couple of weeks ago, mostly to occupy my time at the end of an increasingly boring summer. I hadn't purchased an entry in the FIFA series since 07, so I was unsure about how different the gameplay would be and feel. Extremely different is probably the best description, but almost completely in a good way. The motions of the players are fluid, the graphics are extremely realistic, and the commentating, though not always spot on, is consistent enough to be amusing. The sheer number of teams one can play as is also astounding to me, with leagues from Europe, Japan, Korea, the US, Mexico, and Brazil all making an appearance. The game does have a few flaws, mostly with the AI. For example, when the ball is not under anyone's control, the player you are controlling usually goes for it even though there may be a teammate controlled by the computer who is yards closer. The chip shot is also too easy to score with on a breakaway, but I hear this problem has been fixed in the World Cup version. The goalie sometimes has trouble judging when to come off his line, which can be frustrating in a close game with a friend.Overall, however, this FIFA is a very fun game to play, especially online or with friends. I highly recommend it.
