The Airr insole is perfect for those who engage in high impact activities that do a number on their feet. The combination of air chambers and polymer gel cushions your feet and disperses the impact of every foot strike. It is Sof Sole’s most cushioning and shock absorbing insole yet, and its ready to go when you are.

Nothing Better
Put these in a pair of hiking boots and you will think you are wearing sneakers. I have tried many different types of insoles and these are superior. The last pair I bought are still in use from eight, that's 8, years ago. They are durable supportive and simply make my feet feel great.

Extremely useful if you need arch support
I've used these things in most shoes for more than a decade now. They don't work in every shoe. Originally I had some in a pair of Brooks running shoes, but they added more arch support so these feel horrible in the GTS XX I currently own. So I put them in my workboots, which instantly helped with calf & ankle pain from standing on concrete all day. Right now I have some in my slip on tennis shoes that I got for walking on a treadmill while working at my desk since my career changed. They're an old set, but still leagues better than the garbage that came in the shoe. They are a little thicker than insoles typically packed in with new shoes, so make sure you have a little breathing room or else they make an already tight fit too tight. And I don't like the gel hump in the heel out of the box: it's better once it's worn down a little because it's honestly too much at first. I didn't buy them for the cushioning necessarily: I mostly just need the arch support on flatter shoes. Because of that, these have always lasted me just as long as a good pair of shoes lasts me usually. So if you need better arch support and have a little bit of breathing room in your shoe already, try them. They'll likely help.

Good insoles - but only in certain shoes
These insoles are a great design - excellent cushion, and support. However, if the show has any arch support in the base sole of the shoe, this insole will not work. There is a firmer plastic shock absorber that underlays the heel of the insole, that extends forward along the arch. If the shoe has of its own built-in arch this plastic will cause discomfort. At least it did for me on one shoe, but not another shoe. Just be aware!

Ordering another pair NOW!
First off, fit: after carefully studying the reviews I decided to get the 9-10.5 size for my size 9 shoe and they fit PERFECTLY, no cutting required. I would expect other sizes to scale accordingly, so if you're not at the bottom of the size range, get the next size up. These took up just a little more room in my running shoe than the factory liner, which was welcome for me because an 8.5 is a little too small on me and a 9 is a little too big on me. Now, function: My goal is to run 25 miles per week but shin splints and knee pain were keeping me down for days or weeks at a time. I have neutral arches. My shoes alone were not preventing me from overpronating, causing the knee pain, and the shin splints were being caused by a general lack of padding. I just finished my first 5k in 2 weeks and it appears that those issues have been solved, I'll know for sure after I get another 20 miles in but as it sits, I love them. The bubble in the heel may seem uncomfortable but it recesses into the sole and you don't even feel it, it does it's job very well adding great cushioning and spring right where you need it. I read one reviewer was so infuriated by the bubble that he cut it open to see what it was (it's foam, you can tell that without cutting it open) I can assure everyone that the foam bubble is supposed to sink into the sole, it is doing exactly what it's supposed to without being uncomfortable. If that reviewer had waited 15 minutes before slashing these awesome soles open with a razor blade he would have seen that they pop back out.

They do what they do, just a little to thickly
I bought these 'cause my tennis shoes weren't quite as comfortable as they were. Unfortunately, I only wore these inserts a few times, and gave up. They do have good, soft heal support, but if you lace up your shoes tightly, these are a bit too thick for comfort. My shoes ended up rubbing my feet in new places.I still gave it 3 stars since it seems to be well suited for its intended use, but just be forewarned that the insert takes up some space.

Best full sole gel/air cushioning insole but provides miinmal improvement for matatarsal pain
These are probably the best full sole get/air cushioning insoles available. They also outlast the shoes they are insert in. I have two pair and they have lasted 4 years; with a small hole developing in the top fabric near the heal on one pair; but the cushioning has not been affected. I play tennis with them 1-2 times a week so they are being pounded. The main negative is that they don't have much arch support; they are fairly flat.As good as I think they are; they only provided me minimal improvement for my foot pain. I can't walk barefoot on house carpet. I had a Morton's neuroma removed and still have severe pain from the metatarsal heads of my left foot. I tried adding many different gel pads above and below these insoles. I have finally found that I need to prevent the metatarsal heads from having much pressure on them. I accomplished this by Spenco Total Support Original Insole Spenco Total Support Original Insole, Women's 11-12/Men's 10-11and placing two stacked Dr. Frederick's Original Metatarsal PadsDr. Frederick's Original 2 Piece Metatarsal Pad Set - Ball of Foot Cushions for Rapid Pain Relief (after cutting the toe ring off) below the insole and behind the ball of my foot. The metatarsal pads give the most support if the long dimension is lengthwise in the shoe. The combination of these two products (both purchased from Amazon) transfers most of my weight onto my arch (which is medium-high) and prevent much weight being placed on the Metatarsal heads. This is the best my feet have felt in over 5 years.

Very cushioning
For me, it was very cushioning in my running shoes and give just the right amount of arch support. The arch support is mild but your mileage may vary. The good thing is it is returnable if it doesn't fit correctly.
