Looked like it had a larger opening for big heads like me so I went with it and it's exactly what I needed. You can still curve the brim if you want, I did. Normal 112 Richardson hats are a bit tight on me for my liking so if you have a huge noggin try this still. I wear it backwards always fyi.

The guy in the nearest uniform shop carries this brand hat. He puts a star patch on them for my agency and charges $29... I bought this one for way cheaper and put a small 10 year union pin that is a star and just wear that. Yeah, my star is smaller, but my bank account is larger for not paying $29.

The structure of this particular Richardson hat is unlile anything I've ever seen - some kind of composite matetial, maybe. Whatever it is, it makes for the most prestinely shaped hat I've ever owned. The profile is high by today's standards, so if you are looking for a true vintage / retro aesthetic, this is the hat. My only critique of this hat is true of all Richardson hats: use better materials for the adjustable snaps / straps! Despite the cheap plastic snapback, this hat is worth all $12 I spent and more. I highly recommend it.
