Just as described, good quality, bought to replace a previous stainless steel kettle. I like the design feature of a polished band around the base contrasting with the brushed steel body. It works well and boils quickly but is very loud. The handle, lid and control are ergonomic and feel like they could last.

Not the cheapest kettle you can find but lots of good points:It's not too heavy to handle providing you don't overfill, boils quickly and doesn't make an excessive racket.The base is a bit wobbly while the cord store settles down.I went for the red option and it looks great

Necessary to switch it off if anyone wants to speak to you.I thought all metal kettles were as noisy as this until I tried the Tower pyramid kettle, which is much quieter.But this red kettle looks nice and is easy to fill, easy to lift, pours well .. I like it - apart from the noise.The button at the top of the handle to pop open the lid is a valuable feature - one hand works the kettle while the other turns the tap. No problem refilling a hot kettle because the hand is never above the hole at the top.

When my old kettle stopped working I made the mistake of going to my local hardware store and getting a new one. Mainly because I didn't want to be without a kettle for an hour let alone for a day. Big mistake!!! The cable on the one I brought must have been the shortest I have ever seen....my kettle wouldn't even stretch to not being under my units and the underside was dripping with condensation.I spent a lot of time researching different kettles,and surprisingly I didn't find any that mentioned the cable length except for this one.The cable length for this one is 70 cms,or 27 inches. Needless to say.....this was my choice. I am however really pleased with this kettle,it's pleasant to look at,boils fast and has a easy lid opening system.It's also not plastic. It's easy to replace on its base and it seems to reach a higher temperature than my previous purchase.It comes in different colours and I chose the cheapest but I am really pleased that I chose this particular item.As a nation that seems to do most of its shopping from the armchair it's always nice to be surprised at the quality of items purchased online and this ticks all the bixes

Had to replace our old kettle that started to leak from the bottom. This kettle is a great replacement! The lid opens smoothly using the button on the handle. I prefer lids that have a button vs having to click the lid to open. It just feels a bit safer this way. I don’t understand the reviews that say this kettle is very loud when boiling water. It really isn’t any louder than other kettles of the same price range. More expensive kettles may have thicker walls that might dampen the noise a bit but we don’t find it any louder than other kettles we’ve used. The weight of the kettle is good for me, not too heavy and not so light it wobbles in the base. Sits firmly in the base and water boils a bit quicker than the old one. Been using it everyday for 3 weeks now and very pleased with it!

The plus side for this kettle is that it is fast boiling, however, it is very noisy.My biggest concern is that the whole casing of the kettle, other than the handle, is too hot to touch on the outside once the kettle has boiled. It would be dangerous for let’s say an elderly or less able person. I have replaced mine after a few uses. Cheap enough but wouldn’t recommend for the above reasons.

Good kettle,, it's louder than my old one but that's OK it's quick to the boil.looks nice ,fits the kitchen nice. Yes I'm happy with it
