Seems to do the job (as a protein bar/meat substitute)
My initial impressions of this are that this bar is very satiating, and seems to satisfy my occasional meat cravings. As someone whose core diet is primarily vegan / ethically-sourced vegetarian, I can appreciate that a lot of the ingredients seem to be carefully selected to meet the nutritional needs of vegans/vegetarians; in other words, this bar isn’t just cricket hype, the cricket flour in combination with the other ingredients (e.g. pumpkin seed protein, dates, almonds, etc.) really works well as a nutritional substitute for meat products such as beef or fish. I really appreciate this since so many "meat substitutes" tend to focus more on flavor-substitution rather than nutrient-substitution. My priority is nutrient profile over taste, but the taste is honestly fine. As per the name, the cocoa-orange flavors (and the dates) stand out the most. I could see myself eating these regularly without a problem.

Good for the Environment, Good for You
The protein content is from cricket flour. Convenient, good over all non sugary taste, nice texture. Does satisfy.

Comparable
I don't often eat protein bars anymore but wanted to try this insect based product. It is tasty and filling similarly to other dense style bars. I appreciate the nutritional and environmental benefits. If I was adding protein bars to my diet regularly I would use this brand.

Not disgusting
These bars are mostly dates with a little bit of cricket flour. I didn't find them disgusting but no matter how hungry I am I never want one. There's enough cricket to make them taste "off" but not enough cricket to be a good source of protein. I would rather have a cheap, grossbrick of crickets that was high in protein or a tasty larabar with dates, nuts, apples coconut, and no cricket flour. But this middle ground - I don't see a point.

Too much sugar. Not worth it
It’s supposed to be healthy. Yet has too much sugar per bar

No Gimmick - Yummy Sustainable Protein Bars!
Chocolate orange is my favorite taste combo - I’m avoiding sugar so I don’t get those crack and eat chocolate oranges anymore, but luckily I found these. After reading the graphic novel Meal by Blue Delliquanti and Soleil Ho (highly recommended) I wanted to try to get some bugs into my diet. There is no trace of bug parts or anything, so this is not a gimmicky “hey I’m eating crickets!” But a genuine sustainable protein source. Looking forward to trying the other flavors.
