Great 4 daily use/poetry teatime
We bought this teapot to do Julie Bogarts poetry teatime with the kids.I loved the glass look as soon as I saw it. I didn’t want white or flower teapots anymore on the table.. teapots in general are delicate so I wasn’t put off by thin glass. The cozy was a bonus feature for us. I wasn’t expecting to love it to be honest. I thought it would be a mess to clean up and take off. I love it so far.The tea pours out great so there’s no spills on the cozy and taking it on and off is a breaze. I did it one handed today without an issue. I plan to use my embroidery machine on it eventually to customize it. The black color is going to be a great canvas for me.We do need to eventually buy teacups to match the teapot, but the teapot being clear glass seems to match what we have somewhat for now. Before this I was using a few different things including a plug in water kettle, instant hot water dispenser, a ceramic tea pot, I’ve used the old school stove kettles inbetween. This is sooo much better, faster and neat looking.Tea costs for use have already went down. Doing teabags per cup like we were doing to save time with the instant water dispenser was starting to get expensive! The lid stays snug on when you pour without issue. Cozy on or off the tea stays pretty hot. We never have had to reheat. We have had all positive experiences so far with the teapot. Including delivery. Nothing came broken or anything. We did get an email which I loved from the company asking if we received the pot, how we liked it etc. just very personal and professional. I’ve never had a seller on amazon ever email me like that. Makes me want to buy more of these as gifts! :DThe description says this does 3-4 cups but we get 6 and have a little left over with our teacups. You can see in the picture. It’s just the right size for us (3 cups) with 2 refills each.Cozy on and off we get compliments both ways. I don’t really have a preference since the tea stays pretty hot without it. Its a keeper for teatime for sure. It’s adorable.I use PG Tips tea in the infuser area and it works great. Not just for loose tea for those wondering. The little basket pulls right up and out to dump the bags when you’re all done. I thought with all the pieces that it would be hard to clean, but it instantly rinses clean with just hot water before any kind of soap for those wondering about clean up.Didn’t need a bottle brush or anything.I have had a bunch of different pots over the years and they get that brown residue after just a few uses just from the heat and sitting & the ceramic ones crack or turn that yellowish color if there’s any defect in the sealant. Haven’t had any issues like that so far being this is glass.Just really nice and easy after an afternoon reading with the littles. It’s small and light enough for them to pour without issues. My children are older and have tons of tea pouring experience & supervision.Just adding that in FYI to let people know that I don’t recommend letting small children or clumsy guests pouring their own hot tea in glass without help. It’s really a cute teapot & the price is decent for what all you get.I priced a few of the cheaper glass pots on amazon and we decided with this one because some of the other pots reviewed had leaks with those other sellers with tops popping off. Shipping I could understand causing a product to break. Totally different to have wrong sized parts. Wasn’t taking that risk.Totally worth paying a little more to have a more quality product from a company that stands behind their products.

Fantastic Teapot
After decades of using the Pyrex and Corning Ware tea pots I have had, my last one cracked leaving only the handle that had held many replacement pots.Lightweight, bright and 21st Century! I have moved onto an electric kettle for tea and a coffee press for coffee, so a heavy stovetop tea pot was not necessary. What is necessary is some knowledge of using glassware. You do not pour rolling boiling and bubbling hot water into any glass or ceramic pot and expect it to last very long. It is also not recommended for preparation of tea or coffee. Glass and ceramics expand, transfer heat and explode if you pour boiling hot water onto them while they are on a cold countertop.Always have some metal in the pot or coffee press to absorb the heat, and the pot on a trivet to prevent thermal shock. I keep an ice tea spoon on hand whenever I pour hot liquids into a glass vessel. Most of the negative reviews seem to refer to the kettle cracking soon after purchase. Easily prevented by pouring slowly and not having the pot sitting on a cold marble or granite countertop. The style is fantastic, I love the cozy that it came shipped in for protection, and the fit and finish of the basket. I have always poured tea with the opposite hand on the teapot’s lid. That little tang on the lid was never trusted to keep the lid on and not destroy your favorite tea or coffee cup. Performance wise, no metallic taste.Nothing to complain about. I’m sure my cat will head butt it off the countertop at some point; but until then it’s going to hand washed and used daily.

Love it
I wanted an attractive teapot for when I make loose-leaf black tea, or Korean barley tea. I rarely server more than 2-3 people, so this size is perfect for me.Pros:Gorgeous. With the sleeve off, a glass teapot full of tea is a gorgeous sight. This teapot looks good whether it's being displayed on a shelf or served to guests.Everything You Need for Most Types of Tea. This glass teapot has a metal funnel which holds a removable infuser and lid. This means you can brew whatever you want in the infuser, then remove it when your desired strength is reached. If you don't mind sacrificing some of the gorgeous looks of the see-through glass, there's also a thin insulated sleeve which can be zipped on or off to help keep your tea warm. I've found it doesn't keep the tea warm for long, but it does help.Good capacity. This teapot is plenty for 2 people to have tall cups (16oz) or 4 people to have short cups (8oz). That's plenty to cover a wide range of people. You could easily serve 6-8 people in smaller teacups (4-6oz).Cons:The teapot lid is the biggest drawback. It's metal-on-metal, so it can be difficult to remove like a cocktail shaker. The lid also fits into the infuser instead of onto the pot, so for instance if you use a bagged tea instead of loose-leaf, you can't remove the funnel part or else you also can't use the lid at all. If the lid fit onto the teapot itself, so you could remove the infuser and funnel, I think this pot would be perfect. This teapot is not well insulated, even with the sleeve. If you and a guest want to sip your tea for a long time and expect hot cups later, this teapot won't do it. Ideally, this teapot is made for a quick round of tea for a few guests and maybe a top-up, but then you're going to need to refresh with hot water. For my application, insulation isn't necessary. You should consider a double-walled teapot if that's what you need.Overall:For a small household where you only occasionally brew tea, this is a great piece to add a little flair to your service. The smaller size and lack of insulation may make it less suitable for larger homes, or if you like to keep a pot warm. I usually only make a pot or two a day, and I only serve 1-3 people at a time, so this pot is perfect for me.
