I have a couple old iPads that I've converted into Dakboard displays in my office and in the kitchen. With little kids in the house I wanted a secure way to mount these iPads to prevent curious hands from prying them out to play with. There are more expensive wall mount enclosures out there but this one is perfect for my needs. It fits the iPads nicely with the spacers and keeps them mounted sturdily. I recently got a 2nd old iPad for my office wall and have ordered this product again.One minor complaint is that the spacers are a bit tricky to stay in place in the enclosure while inserting the iPad. On the first enclosure I bought I used a bit of glue to hold the spacers in place. On the 2nd enclosure I'll probably use double-stick tape.The other issue I have is that the hinge doesn't open properly when the enclosure is screwed flush to the wall. In order to give it enough room to swing open I glued a piece of laminate board to the back of the enclosure before I screwed it to the wall. Just a 1/4" laminate is all that it needs to put enough space between the wall and the enclosure so that the hinge opens up enough to swing open all the way.

This has a surprising amount of weight to it, the fit and finish are top notch as well.It’s a bit cumbersome to load the iPad into the case and hold the spacers in place, but once it’s done the well-made spacers hold everything rock solid. I did away with the home button cover as I could never really get it to sit right.We used this to mount an old iPad 2 in our residence to act as a security cam monitor/ audio entertainment hub and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results. Sturdy lock keeps little hands from poaching it.Some tips/tricks on installation:- if you’re using an iPad with the old style wide connector be sure you install the cord BEFORE screwing it to the wall. The cable slot is too narrow to pass even the USB end through.- when installing the spacers, insert the 2 top ones and use slight pressure on the tablet at an angle to keep them in place. Install one bottom spacer on the inside rim and place the 4th spacer against the tablet (still held at an angle) then gradually work it into place. Reach through the frame and hold the tablet in place as you close the door. I installed ours in a landscape orientation (horizontal) so fighting with the door wasn’t as much of a problem. As others have stated, the cover doesn’t open all the way.-You’ll lose the ability to control power and volume via the side and top buttons. No matter. Enable the time out feature in the settings and swipe up to use on-screen volume controls.

The fit is ok but could be better.

Used this to install an Air to run my home automation. It took me maybe 10 minutes to install and a little more to put up low voltage conduit later. It doesn't really need instructions - mounting is a breeze with a level and marker. You'll need a drill for the anchors. The mounts inside are stable and super intuitive. I will say this is a hefty beast, so you might want to check for studs in your wall.

I’ve been looking for a nice case to hang up my iPad, since I don’t use it as much as I’d like. I believe it’s a nice way to put it up so I could play music or play a cartoon for my nephew, so it stays out of his reach. I was sadden that most of the things were either, not the right size or the right kind of stand. They were would be out of the range id like to spend.I came across this and it had the buy used option. Instantly I was hesitant because you can’t be sure that it wouldn’t be messed up beyond what was described. But I took a chance and purchased it! I was very happy to receive an even better item then they had said. I highly recommend this!!

We got this to support a Karaoke use case. We use a 2015 iPad pro to run an app called Karafun and alternately to play videos from a popular video site where there are Karaoke versions of songs posted. The original tablet stand kept tipping over so we wanted something more sturdy that could be operated with one hand to find and play songs. We also wanted something that inebriated folks wouldn't easily trip over. This is what we chose. It took a couple hours to get it together and have it work. We couldn't find a single audio cable that worked with the skinny hole in the stand so we had to drill the case out in order to make it work. We did get it to work and it's very sturdy and we've already used it for an event: lots of compliments vs what we had before. But if I had to do this again I would probably pick a case that has more modern fittings. When we buy new iPads I don't think they will work well with this stand and I don't really want to have to drill a stand again just to use a standard cable.

I like the overall unit and it is sturdy. After that we'll good luck. I had this shipped to me directly to a show and once it arrived it took we a cutting tool and about an hour to make it work. The little rubber pieces they send are random and there is no directions to tell you what goes with what. They do have letters but so what if you don't know what letters go with what. Need more instructions in the box and need to be very clear on what ipad fits in here.
