Hawaiian Kava Brew or Chew Piper Methysticum Root from Hawaii

I prepared about 1.75/2 tablespoons using a mesh strainer bag. I swished it around/squished it for about 4 minutes. It produced a silt brown color, no reflective oily sheen. It created relaxation within 15 min and lasted 12 hrs after. I felt tired all day into the late evening. It had a grassy/bitter/peppercorn flavor. Overall, be careful with serving size. Very strong.

I made a nice tea with this using empty tea bags and soaking this in boiling water. It numbs your tongue, throat and mouth for around 30 minutes.

Reciever a bag full of Kava dust. I was intending on chewing it, but it’s the size consistency of sugar. Hopefully it’s not too fine to make tea out of without it leaking from a bag.

This product is an excellent muscle relaxant. It works as well as Zanaflex without the lethargic side effect. Maui Medicinal also knows how to connect with the customer.

I first had `awa (kava, yaqona, whatever you want to call it) in Hawaiian language class many years ago. It was a pleasant experience that made me relaxed, chatty...and predisposed to go shopping. I bought the product currently under review as a requisite item for a Hawaiian house blessing. We followed the instructions for steeping--nothing. The only mood change was the one I got when I realized I had wasted my money and disappointed my guests and (probably) the akua and `uhane we were attempting to relate to.E akahele `oukou! I may have gotten a bad batch or somehow misinterpreted the brewing instructions, but from what we can tell, whether you want to pule, ho`omana, or simply relax, this stuff is `opala.
