Used successfully to replace a plastic Timer knob
These seem to be made for audio equipment, but I have a wall heater in one of my bathrooms and its timer knob recently broke. That knob is a white plastic "Intermatic Timer Knob" and it's little plastic D shaped hole cracked, rendering it useless after about 8 years of VERY light use (it's in a spare bathroom). Those knobs are little pieces of plastic that WITH inflation should probably retail for a dollar (since they're mass produced at I'd guess about 10 cents cost), but the BEST price I could find a single knob for was 4 dollars at the local hardware store. There were more durable plastic knobs (with set-screws) at the hardware store's bulk bins, but they were about 7-8 dollars apiece and only came in black. The identical white Intermatic knobs go for 6-8 dollars in here, UNLESS you start buying them in packs of 3 to 6 knobs, which brings the price down to 2-3 dollars apiece. But unless you have multiple wall timers at home, OR you own rentals with lots of spring-loaded timers whose knobs frequently need replacing, OR you're an electrician who stocks and moves a lot of these, it would be foolish to buy more than one & have spares sitting around, since your spares will surely get brittle by the time you'd ever need to use them! That being the case, even the absurd 4 dollar price tag for one plastic knob at the hardware store is acceptable; however I despise using plastics and I wanted something more permanent, even if having to pay more. These aluminum knobs seemed about the right size (outer diameter 23mm, just 1 to 2mm smaller than the plastic ones). The shaft hole size was 6mm (very close to that of the plastic knob) but ROUND (not D-shaped); however with the set-screw it could tightened down against the flat part of the D-shaped shaft so that it fit perfectly. This took only a minute or two to carefully install. With the set screw needing to press up against the flat part of the shaft, the arrow on this knob ended up pointing downward instead of towards the 12 o'clock position. An alcohol prep pad wouldn't remove the arrow; I'll try something stronger, and then put my own marker at the 12 position, since the timer does have a "turn past" point for it to function properly.Best of all, this knob is solid aluminum. I did have to pay more; a pack of 2 comes out to only 4.50/knob, though in reality I paid 5 dollars more than I would have paid for the single plastic one (i did NOT need two of them). However, the one I've put into use will not break, AND I can keep the spare knob without it getting brittle while sitting in my toolbox for a few years. My only concern is the set screw potentially not staying tight with multiple knob turns. But again, my heater gets minimal usage, and I can live with the occasional need for re-tightening much easier than I can live with buying another worthless piece of plastic garbage.5 stars all the way! Highly recommended for spring loaded timer knob applications.

Nice Replacement Knobs
Good quality replacement tone/volume knobs. They are blue. They lock on with a set screw, and include an allen key for installation. Very nice look.

Nice knobs
I really liked the look of these knobs. However, one did not sit well on my tone control pot. Probably the fault of the pot shaft. The knobs are a bit too large for my taste. I used them on my ibanez rg550 and the width of the volume knob got in the way of me playing. I probably could have got used to it but it just did not look great on my guitar.

Replacement for camping stove
My camping stove temperature regulator knobs basically melted. This product fits the male/female D-shape perfectly. Much more secure than the plastic ones that originally came on the stove. The machining feels good in the hand. Glad to find this product.

Not a guitar knob.
Product is made well, arrived on time, but NOT A GUITAR KNOB. THEY NEED TO REMOVE THAT FROM THE TITLE. It's a knob for audio equipment, not guitars. I thought this was a guitar knob based on the title. They do not fit ANY of my guitars, please don't sucker any more customers. This is for audio equipment, not guitars.

that it works
It will never break, like the original did.

good knob, wrong sized tool.
tool that comes with it isn't the exact size as the set screw so dont tighten it too much with the supplied wrench.also the pointer can be removed with alcohol allowing you to make your own arrow in any direction.

Very nice looking. Listing is correct that center hole is only 0.23.
Very nice looking. Listing is correct that center hole is only 0.23 (nominal 6 mm). I have 0.25" shafts and had to drill the center hole larger with a 1/4" drill bit (nominal 6.5mm).
