I use these in my water collection IBC tote and, if used as directed, it saves me a lot of time when I drain the tote for the last time at the end of Fall when I discontinue water collection in freezing winter months. It keeps the tote clean enough that I don't have to spend time and water hosing it out when totally drained. Just wish they still offered the pack with 10 or 12 I used to get instead of just 6. Now paying more for less.

Works to clear our livestock water of bacteria.
These tablets keep our livestock water clear; however, algae still accumulates on the tank bottom and walls albeit in a very thin layer.

I love these, they work great. I love that they are safe for your animals, plant and environment.Kinda bummed for 30.00 the container is half full.So if you want a full container order 2. Which adds up to 60.00. Awg ☹️

So so at keeping the trough clean
I have goldfish and mosquito fish in my troughs, so weekly dumping and scrubbing is not an option for us. Plus, I have 7 - 150 gallon troughs, so that would be wasting a bunch of water each week. When the weather gets super hot in the summer, frequently above 100 degrees F on the reg here, I want the animals to have clean water to encourage them to drink. I am constantly on the hunt for the solution to have reasonably clean troughs. The stock tank defense has been added to what we already do to help slow the growth of algae and it seems to help, but just minimally so in my black Rubbermaid troughs. However, they do help better in the non-black troughs. Not sure if they have a temperature range that they work more ideally in?? Maybe the black troughs just get too warm? Not sure...so if you have no black water troughs, these might be a good option to help reduce your cleaning on your water troughs.

Follow directions, clean tank, rain water and extreme heat maybeffect water quality. Product works very well beginning second season of usage.

Not effective
Didn't work at all. Wasn't even the worst time of year. I tried them near the end of winter, early spring, and spring and they didn't help at all. They are sure to fail in the summer when it's even more humid.
