I recommend this carafe
Wonderful carafe. Keeps coffee hot. Lid is tight, screws on snugly. Opening works well. Color is a bright red as desired.Fully recommended

Good Design and Function
Did quite a bit of research which was worth the effort. Wanted a glass-lined carafe to use for pour-over coffee. This is a little bottom heavy but still fits the bill. Seems well made.

Not Like They Used to Make Them
I have long had an Emsa that I bought in Germany years ago when I lived there. It has reliably kept liquids hot for hours. Wanting something a little bigger and having read reviews on the available options, I opted again for Emsa and purchased this one in early 2023. While my original carafe was made in Germany, this one is made in China and isn't made as well or feel & look as high quality. Unless I pre-heat it, this carafe fails to keep liquids hot beyond a relatively short period of time (in other words, less efficient than my old carafe). Perhaps my particular carafe is an outlier, I don't know. I waited too long to return it so am "stuck" with it. If I had to do it all over again, I'd try an alternative brand/product.
