One of the best watches for the price. A great tool watch.
I find myself wearing it more than my other watches. I love this watch. It keeps great time, it is comfortable and I find myself going back to it over other watches. That collection includes Rolex, Suunto, Apple, and more. Don't get me wrong its not that I don't enjoy wearing the other watches its just that this watch is so perfect in so many ways that I really enjoy wearing it.For one I love that I can press the bottom right button while in watch mode and kick off the stop watch. There are so many times that I want to use the stop watch and that shortcut button it great. I also love how snappy everything is. The compass, altimeter, and barometer all show their readings very quickly. Its faster than any other sensor watch I've owned over the years. The buttons are easy to depress and I enjoy pressing them. They have good travel, a gnurrled (spelling?) surface and they are easy to get to. I like the detail of having the red ring on the main sensor button. It looks sharp. The watch is very comfortable and wears well. The band has good size adjustment holes so I can easily change the fit for snug or loose. My watch wouldn't automatically receive the time settings when I set it on my window sill but my apartment is on the 37th floor. When I'm out and about the watch automatically receives the time just fine. I also had the issue that others had mentioned with the DST being set incorrectly when first setting up the watch. When my watch finally received the signal it set correctly. Or you can set it manually.I love this watch. One of the best watches for the price. Its a great tool watch.

Great Watch!
I've only had this watch for less than a week, and I'm still learning how to use all of the features. I've never had a G-Shock before, so I'm learning everything from scratch. It's not very difficult, though, once you get used to how the buttons work together, so don't let that dissuade you from getting it. Be warned, however -- the instruction manual that comes with the watch is in Japanese. That's not a problem, though, because you can download an English manual in .pdf format on Casio.com. The instructions are pretty good, and after a few minutes, you'll get used to how it works. The watch is big and looks awesome on my wrist. It's not heavy though, and the carbon fiber band is really comfortable. Even though I've only had it a week, I forgot to put in on one morning because I was in a hurry, and I "missed" it after I left the house. The display is clear and easy to read, and the sensors are very accurate. I read somewhere that some people were having to wait to get a good temperature readout. The manual says to calibrate the temperature with an accurate thermometer while it's on your arm. I did that, and everywhere I have tested the temperature, it's been dead-on accurate right from the second I check the temperature. I haven't had to take it off my wrist or wait at all. It immediately adjusts. I suppose that's a warning to everyone to take your time to go through the instruction manual and set it up properly. Doing that helped me learn the watch controls, and I recommend everyone doing the same. The only negative thing I can think of to say is relatively minor -- the backlight only comes on for a couple of seconds before turning off. I'm certain there's a way that I can control that, but I've yet to get to that part of the learning curve. Beyond that, it's an excellent watch that is rugged and tough and great for any outdoorsman. I highly recommend it!

Another Casio Do It All Watch
This particular Rangeman is discontinued I think, this is the JDM version straight from Japan (new old stock?). A tough, accurate (due to the Atomic time function), a 3 main feature watch (compass, barometer, temperature, although just in Celsius due to it being a JDM), manual only in Japanese, although you can go to the Casio website to get the English version, and just an overall great watch. It being a Casio, it will be a durable but rather large wearing watch. I mostly use mine when I am doing any kind of outdoor activities which it is great for. Pleased with my purchase.

Made in Thailand
Supposed to be Domestic Japan Model. the band is better than the Imported Version. The box is better quality than the imported Version. Than why does it say made in Thailand ? Instructions and tags in Japanese. I concluded that some models are made in Japan and Thailand. Anyone with answers please respond

the father of all g shocks!
since it's called rangeman i don't think that i can call it the mother of all g-Shocks ;)but let's get serious: i received this watch 8 days ago and it really is a stunning Piece. the carbon fiber band is a cool Thing to have and the compass-ring in the upper left Corner is made of metal and Looks veery cool!besides that it really has everything you could ask for: the v.3 abc sensor System, which is a lot faster and more accurate than the previous sensor, a direct stopwatch butten, a Memory function for time, Altimeter, compass and Barometer data, which is indeed a very usefull and nice Thing to have. sunrise/sunset mode is also a nice Feature. the rest of the functions is well known from other g's i think :)the Buttons are, like said before, very nice to push and really so far the best Buttons found on a g shock. besides that it's very nice and comfortable to wear, even tough it is quite big.i wear it for work (i'm a plumber) or for outdoor activities like hiking or climbing. so far this really is the best g shock i've ever had.clearly a must have, nothing else!
