This fixed my AC. Worked well.
Fixed the AC in my 1995 Lincoln town car. Air was only blowing hot no matter what I did, and it was full of freon, so I looked it up and seen this can brake and get stuck on hot or on cold. Turned out mine was stuck on hot, this fixed it, back to ice cold air, however it is a pain to install, once you actually make it to it, there's not much space at all, so I recommend also buying a 8mm ratcheting wrench to make it so much easier to take out and put new one in.

Works great on my 95 Lincoln Towncar
Works great on my 95 Lincoln Towncar. Yes you have to drop the dash down and pull it back. There are good youtube videos on how to do this. It took me 3 hours to complete the repair.

failed
bought 2 for my 2 -1997 town cars. they both failed the first month. you have to remove the dash to install. no way i would ever buy another from this company. i could have gotten a replacement because they only lasted a month. no way with a 2 for 2 failure. i bought one from advanced auto. so far so good.dorman seems to be only as good as the really cheap parts anymore. so save some money and buy the cheapest parts on amazon and keep your fingers crossed.

Direct replacement
This is a paininthea$$ to replace, so you want to make sure that you get one that will last. I have had good luck with Dorman products, so here is hoping this one last a lifetime.

Worked.
Install was hard. You will have to break out the tabs in the far back as those bolts will not come out.You really only need two.

Does the job but might take all day to install depending on car
It took hours to get the dash apart far enough to install this part, but it fixed the issue perfectly. I only installed 3 of the 4 fastening screws, I would have to remove even more parts from the car to access the 4th (1996 Mercury Marquis)

IT WORKED WELL FOR SIX MONTHS
I installed the part on a 2003 ford explorer xlt with manual temperature control. On the coldest days in nyc, the heat does not work. However, You would have to have the fan on and play with the temperature dial so that it would work. I bought the original part from the dealer and will install it next weekend.
