Better and Quieter than Typical Converter
The typical converter changes the car power to DC power; my last two converters made a lot of noise and didn't charge my laptop successfully. This car charger did the trick. It charged my laptop and my cellphone (from laptop's USB) at the same time with NO NOISE. The cord reaches the back seat too! Great for my backseat passengers who will appreciate it when they're Lenovo needs a charge! Five stars for Lenovo users only!

Works perfectly, just plug and type
It has a sturdy construction, not flimsy. I live and work in my RV and not always plugged into park power, so this cord gives me a great option to stay productive while on the road.

Works great with my X1 Extreme LP
My main purpose was to use this with a 12volt portable battery pack when out camping. So I gave this car charger a try for my laptop and so far working great.It lists a lot of compatible devices which I don't doubt but my device wasn't specifically listed but I am using it for a Lenovo X1 Extreme LP and it seems to work great to charge it.

Didn't work with my laptop
Was advertised to work with my Thinkpad T540P. Didn't work at all. Sent back. Found out the T540P needs 135 watts.

Fantastic
Love love love the PWR+ line of 12V chargers. My astronomy hobby often has me in the field, needing to power a laptop w/ a 12V source. Sure, an inverter would do the job, but the inexpensive ones are horribly inefficient, and the better ones cost more than the laptop! Plus, an inverter is just one more piece of gear to haul around.PWR+ has a car charger for just about any laptop running around out there. Hook it right to the battery using connectors of your choice, and bam. No having to worry about DIYing a stepup or stepdown circuit, possibly frying your laptop, etc. They just work.This is my 3rd from them (none of the others failed, just changed laptops), and I've *abused* the previous two, and they just keep right on trucking.

terrific device - will use it on my boat to supply DC power to a thinkpad with OpnCpt navigation software
arrived quickly and worked as promised. initially I had a concern because when I used the charger on my Lenovo Thinkpad, the computer indicated that it was plugged in but not charging although clearly the screen maintained a brightly "plugged in" effect and the battery power was maintained. After another attempt the next day, and an auto update to software everything appears to be working correctly.
