Don't wait. Order it now. Thank yourself when done.
My Hampton Bay ceiling fan gave up its ghost a few years ago. It's mounted in the garage, so I neglected fixing it. Well, a new motorcycle in the garage had me spend so much more time in that cave. Finally it was time to replace the old worn and swollen capacitor pack with this replacement. Sure, wiring colors changed slightly, but it's super easy to match the capacitor's microfarad values (4uf, 5uf, 6uf) to the new wires. Just do one wire at a time, cut the old, tie it to the new wire of the right value. (remember to unplug THEN commence work. Then plug back in when done.)My fan was at first quite hesitant on firing back up, as its electric motor hasn't turned on for quite some time and needing a little remembering of its electro-magnetism. Took a few seconds, and it slowly went rotating toward top speed. There, that was all it took. Now I'm happy. You will be too, if this is all that's needed.
