REEFSmoothy Men's Beach Flip Flop, Soft Woven Strap Made From 100% Recycled PET

Several years ago, I moved into hotter inland climates which have prolonged intensely hot summers. My work requires formal business attire. Needless to say when I get home from work, or am off for the weekend, I wear my reefs with absolute pleasure. They are extremely comfortable and will contour to your foot, to provide nice stability, keeping your foot on, or rather in the surface on the flip-flop. The tread and traction is excellent as well. They are comfortable stylish and keep your feet cool during hot weather. Everytime I put them on, I know I will be relaxin, ahhhhh, how nice. Best flip flop on the market. Have tried others, but the simplicity of the Reefs reign supreme. As far as fit goes, if you are a half size such as 9.5, get a 10, they will fit perfectly.On a side note, 6-7 years ago, Reef made a flip flop I liked even better, it had a twist to the design which I loved. Basically, instead of the nylon fabric which goes in between your toes, they had one with an extremely soft comfortable rubber which went in between your toes. It was slightly more comfortable than the nylon part, they employ in all their flip flops now, except for their all rubber ones. Another benefit of this rubber part was it kept the nylon strap elevated, so when you put your foot in, it went right in, you did not have to squiggle your toes to raise the nylon strap in order to slide your toes in and get the toes seated up against the nylon, or rather in this case the soft rubber. With this rubber part, you just put your foot in, and voila, you're off and relaxin, totally hassle free. This was not an all rubber piece that went from the toe strap and all the way to back of the flip flop forking and branching off to the rear of the flip flop where they attach to the deck rear deck of the flip flop on both sides in the rear; it was not a totally nylon-fabric free flip flop, in other words it was not all rubber like other flip flops by Reef and other manufacturers. It was a hybrid, with a rubber part that elevated the nylon straps, so you could just glide right in. It combined the best of both worlds with the convenience of the rubber part where you put your toes in, but after that nylon straps were attached to that rubber toe-piece and went back and attached to the rear deck of the flip flop. The nylon straps are more breathable than rubber and keep your feet nice and cool, while the rubber part that goes in between your toes, made them the ideal, best flip flop ever made. I hope someone from Reef comes across this review. Bring back the hybrid Reef, myself and others will buy them again and again. Also these flip flops are extremely durable. I wear the heck out of them; I mean I put serious mileage on them. I usually buy them every two years,

ORDER 2 SIZES UP. I wear an 11 but had to return them for a size 13!!! The size 13 fit the best! I'm not kidding for any dude who wants a perfect size, order TWO sizes up. You'll thank me when you do. My size 11 felt like a size 9! Great sandals and good quality, but the sizing is horrible. That's why I ordered 2 sizes up. TRUST ME. You won't regret it. These sandals run really small for a man.

Devoted fans of Reefs and these flip-flops never disappoint. Being part of the "No Shoes Nation" and full-time liveaboards, these flip-flops are our daily footwear. On rocky beaches, sandy streets or cobblestones, your feet still feel like your walking on a cloud.Soft fabric at the toe makes them easy to wear and they are comfortable even on long hikes around the anchorage or on an adventure in town. If you only have one pair of shoes to wear, make them Reefs and you will be set. Lasts for over a year even with heavy everyday use in extreme conditions. Do take a while to dry out, a hazard for life aboard, so be sure to dry them well in the sun to prevent them from stinking up your diggs.

I really like these. I wore my last pair of sandals for so long I was not really excited to look for new ones. These are great: they are comfortable, the straps are soft and don't dig in to my feet. Summers are long here so I wear them a lot, and so far so good. There's been talk in other reviews about sizing. I can only say that I bought true to my size (US 8.5) and they fit me perfectly :)

Reef flip flops are comfortable for flip flops and have a nice cusHion. I followed the advise in reviews and bought 1 size larger and could have gone 2 sizes. I prefer fabric thongs over plastic for comfort reasons. Good buy.

These are the best flip flops out there. I've been wearing them for years and was surprised that I could get them on Amazon.

Everyone's right about the size issue - I normally wear a 10, ordered a 12, as suggested by others, and they fit perfectly. Maybe a tad too long, but I don't know how my foot would've been able to slide into a smaller sandal and straps. Besides, the larger the flip-surface area, the more protection for your toesies.I bought this same sandal 4 or 5 years ago and they just broke, after a notably rigorous game of drunk Bocce ball. They are by far the most durable, comfortable sandal on the market. Traveled with me to many a country and terrain. They mold to your feet after several weeks of use, and somehow continue to get more and more comfortable over the years. Perfect amount of grip for the more active individual (volleyball, afternoon croquet, trotting briskly along a winding path, driving a manual transmission, etc.).Spend the extra $10-$15 for Reefs or Tevas. Stop wasting your money on cheap flippy-floppies from Target that only last as long as a fleeting romance. These babies will stay with you for half a decade, maybe longer (if you aren't a particularly intense lawn athlete like myself).
