Tetra TB625W Tank Buddies Ick Clear Tablets, 8-Count

Product arrived next day as ordered. Used this in a 20 gallon tank with one of the 9 fish having ick. Quickly worked. I used three doses over a period of 3 days. All fish healthy and fish with ick is all healed! The blue coloring did discolor the silicone bottom of our heater. Totally worth it. Thank you!!

Ok so a few things about this product. I think it’s a great alternative to other products on Amazon if you’re trying to budget, and pay the least amount you could.I had 2 cory fish in a 2 gallon tank, who died due to having the ick, before I could get these tablets in. I purchased another cory fish a day before my 2nd cory fish died. I used a scissor to cut a line down the tablet, and broke it up into very small pieces. It dissolves into this bright blue liquid, and lets off a mist or debris of some sort. The new cory fish did well in that tank and is still doing well in my new one, and it never got sick. I ended up getting a 5.5 gallon and I MUST SAY— do not do half of a tablet for a 5 gallon, even though one tablet is for a 10 gallon. It’s definitely too much, I guess depending on the amount of fish that are sick. A quarter of the tablet will definitely do the trick for a 5 gal, though.Overall, I’m very happy with this product and I think it’s a great price- compared to the others on Amazon. Definitely a great buy, BUT BE CAREFUL ABOUT HOW MUCH YOU ADD IF YOU HAVE A TANK UNDER 10 GAL!!!!

Quick fix to my fish ick problem. Took 2 doses. All fish survived and my turtle was fine also.

I have kept mostly African cichlids for the past 20 years. I recently tried to setup a South American cichlid tank which are more susceptible to Ick because of the lower water temperatures. Within a couple of weeks Ick broke out. I tried this product for two days and it seemed to be clear. A few days later it came back. I started treating again and a week later it seems to be gone. I also raised the water temperature from 79F to 84 and added some fresh water salt. I will stop treating in a couple of days and lower the water temperature back to 79.Ick is very persistent. Once it gets into a tank it is difficult to eradicate. You should always quarantine new fish in a separate tank for 2-3 weeks before adding to your main tank. that is the big mistake I made with this tank. I wanted to get the South American tank running as soon as possible. Remember, local fish store and big box pet store fish have a very high rate of disease so setup up a 10 or 20 gallon tank for quarantining.

Ordered that so I could put this up for when it pops up randomly and it works because I’m when I had five Cory catfish die out of 11 and three angle fish die out of six so because of an power outage of the affects of hurricane Helene and ordered this before the outage and put in after the outage and it worked after doing a full treatment and waiting six days a I searched it up online and no more fish died and I do half strength because full strength for small and weak and scaleless fish use half strength so i do that because I consider Cory catfish small not weak not trying to kill any fish like I tried this on my mothers tanks because when I did on her tank on it killed six angel fish five sharks not actually sharks related to Cory catfish and she said she’s never putting that in her tank so be cautious maybe test on some of your other fish to see if it doesn’t kill them just saying but ease of use yeah worth it and value shoot yeah this stuff is well worth the money for me and speed well I do six days because every three days like it says on the back that’s too much if you ask me and myy fishs health great!
