Nice starter Fat Bike
Very easy to assemble, took me less than 1 hr to complete by myself. I'm 5'1 and I can ride this bike easily, it probably weighs 40lbs at the most and I can easily lift it. I originally got it to bikejore with my 3 dog dryland mushing team and it's perfect for that as the bike can definitely handle different types of surfaces and handles pretty well. It is a absolute pig on any hills though, so you definitely either need to stick to level trails or be prepared to work your a$$ off to make it up even a little hill. The bike itself is pretty durable, I've crashed a few times and it holds up to the abuse well with no damage. Overall I'm very happy with this bike, will definitely be getting a more comfortable seat though ;)

Bike had issues... Amazon was great... Pacific Cycle has been non-existant
Purchased this bike last week after doing the normal research on comperable bicycles. It arrived sooner than expect and went together in about an hour with a little adjusting. Took it out for my first ride and it was nice... until i got back home. I go to take off again and ride a little more and snap... chain snaps. Now I consider myself to be a normal person in these situations. nothing is ever going to be 100% all of the time so okay the chain broke, not the end of the world and personally it doesn't take away from the bike since... well chains break (typically after a while not the first 2 hours out of the box) but hey nothings perfect. I chat amazon since I didn't feel like waiting on the phone. Amazon as usual is great. They offer a credit, thanks. Then they tell me to contact Pacific Cycles (parent company of mongoose) and tell them as it should be under warranty. I email pacific cycles. 24 hours go by, I email pacific cycles again. Then I figure "Hey maybe I'll just call them". I call them and they say 'email us for faster service since COVID 19 is messing with everyone'. Here I am days later still no response. Which surprised me since during my research I read a lot of the questions everyone posted about the Mongoose Bikes and Pacific cycles was right on answering questions and being super helpful. To recap: Bike was easy to put together. Rode Good. Chain Broke. Amazon was good. Pacific Cycles has been a ghost town with no response about broken chain.

I dig it...
I'm a big dude so I was looking for a big bike. I'm 6'2 275, and this bike was more than big enough for me. Very easy to assemble. I changed out the tiny seat and bought an extension for the handlebars. First bike in years and loving it.

This is a really, really good start into fat tire bikes
For the price, it's quite remarkable entry into a new world of fat tire off road biking. Now that I've got a few miles on it, its time for a review. Note: We own some bike shop bikes. If I like this fat tire "sport", I may upgrade to a bike shop bike. But for now, this bike has gone beyond my expectations. I am so glad I bought the Mongoose. I can get into this sport and figure out what I like and dislike.I got this bike for a GREAT price from Amazon before XMas. (<250$) With a $13 dollar upgrade, it goes from OK to AWESOME. More on this in a bit.The pros:-prime shipping!-shipping box protected bike well. And it was well packaged. Thank you Mongoose!-Bike had special protective plastic wraps and had no shipping damage at all.-This bike has a GREAT paint scheme. IE, looks swell out of the box.. No visible defects in paint.-Disc brakes. stops well.-Shimano index shifters. Of happy note: The index shifting already adjusted well and was flawless out of the box.-Assembly and adjustments to brakes, seat, bars, etc was one hour of pure family fun.-bearings on crank, wheels run smooth and quiet. If one ever goes bad, parts are very available and inexpensive.Cons: only one...-Out of the box, this bike comes with a very modest rear gear set. I was a bit disappointed. We have some hills in our riding trail (of course), and I ended up walking some of them. IE, low gear not near low enough. The rear #1 gear is only a 26 tooth. For $13 fixed this. I bought this from amazon: "Shimano TZ500 7-Speed 14-34t Freewheel." FYI: It takes the Park tools FR-7 to remove the OEM falcon freewheel (gears) on the back. I opted to visit my local bike shop and they were eager to help and only charged me $3 to remove my old freewheel. No "snob" attitudes here! Tipped them $2 and left the shop happy.FYI: NO TOOL necessary to install the new Shimano freewheel. Just lube the threads, screw on snug (act of riding will tighten), and adjust your index shifting just a bit. As expected, after install, index shifing needed a bit of adjustments. Mine wouldn't shift into low with out some very minor adjustments to the cable tension/stops. Took about 10 minutes of adjustment including watching video on how to do it and a short test drive)NOW, these are the gears the bike should have came with. The new 34tooth mega low is just that. Now you can climb hills with ease. Turns this bike into SO MUCH FUN.It was ridable before...but it is so much more fun to ride now if your terrain includes hills.Parting thought: For under $250 bucks...how can you go wrong?

Great Bike For The Money!
My wife has been wanting a fat tire beach cruiser. I found this one at a bit of a sale price, but was impressed that it included the features of the 7-speed derailleur and front and rear disk brakes. It came partially assembled and final assembly was very straight-forward. I gave the Comfort rating 4 stars because the bike is set up for more of a performance bike, like mountain biking. Not as comfortable for my wife as a cruiser. So I have invested in a different seat and handle bars. Now the bike is exactly what she wanted. Just got back from the beach, she rode it quite a bit and is very happy!

Love It
Perfect size, smooth ride. Love the oversized tires. Fairly easy to assemble. Feel like this will last for years. Caught it on sale and has to grab it. Good buy!
