Great color and quality!
Gel stain, easy to work with, beautiful color.

Great Product
I use this gel stain for my wooden fiber glass front door. After a light sanding and cleaning I applied 3 coats of gel and then 3 coats of clear coat and it does look beautiful. I used a sponge to apply the gel.

Works on anything.
Pick a scratch, water stain or whatever.Goes extremely far! Put a spec for a scratch, rub it in with a paper towel or cloth, then immediately wipe it off and the scratch is gone!You get to adjust the strength of the color based on thickness of application.The gel is so much easier to work with for small jobs.

General Finishes is the BOMB!!!
We are remodeling our house and wanted to update the woodwork with a new color. We bought several General Finishes gel stains to try out. We ended up not using this particular color, but we did end up using another General Finishes gel stain for our project (Java). Regardless, General Finishes makes the best gel stain around. Once cured, it is so smooth and beautiful. Love it!

Went with Varathane Premium Gel Stain Instead
First time using oil based stain, or gel stain… I’m now a convert. Loved the low-odor and ease of application; but the color was a miss. Based on the description, I was expecting the “Rich Mahogany” color to have a much warmer, reddish hue rather than an ordinary muddy brown.So, I went with Varathane Premium GEl Stain in “Cabernet” instead. The first coat had a distinctly violet hue, but 2 additional coats gave me the deep red, Rosewood/Mahogany/Cherry wood tone I was looking for.Whichever brand you chose, color test on scrap wood is a must!

Highly recommend
Great product. This is two coats on a fiberglass door with a polyurethane gloss finish to seal. A little bit goes a long way.
