Love these avocado huggers! This package comes with 2 different sizes which fits various small, medium, and large avocados from Safeway, Whole Foods, and Costco. I previously purchased a different brand of silicone covers; however, my husband disliked them, and found they would squish the avocado or other fruit or vegetable. I returned them and purchased the huggers instead. We have used them for some time now and they are definitely a keeper.They are easy to clean with a brush or rubbing a dishcloth along the inside of the rim; I do not recommend using a sponge to clean; Dishwasher OK. Design is great and durability appears as though it will outlast any previously purchased and returned silicone version, making it a much better value for the money.

I usually don't like single purpose kitchen items- already have too many and they more often than not don't get used. This was exception that proved the rule. I bought this over a year ago and I have used it almost every time I need just a half an avocado- which is MOST of the time. My mother-in-law has an avocado tree so we get a fair amount of avocados and this gets used often- unlike so many other single use items like the salad spinner, tortilla press, and even other silicon lids I bought for onions, cans, etc.If you regularly have half an avocado I recommend this over trying to seal it in plastic wrap- or worse a plastic bag or container. It is easier to use and keeps it fresher, and greener, than any bag.

when I have the "right size avocado" for the Hugger...it works great! Often the small Huggers don't fit these small avocados that are showing up at my store...leaves room around the edges and gets a little brown... I DO love the Huggers for the apples/oranges/bananas/ etc etc Work great!

I eat a lot of avocados! Often times just a half at once. For years I used the hard plastic type with a rubber band type device that cinched the avo tight to the hard plastic. Oxidation was held at bay for up to two days with that style but the rubber band eventually broke at the little sections meant to graduate the tension for different size avos. Seeing this silicone style I liked that it could be used for halves with the pit or without. The other was set up for the pit only. What I didn’t realize is that without something providing tension on the half to keep it close to the silicone the device just doesn’t keep air out. The air fills the gap between the half and the silicone so no sirve para nada. No I would not buy again or recommend. Off to find my original type.

This product, in theory, seemed like a great idea but neither size of this avocado food hugger works. These do not seal onto the avocado nicely and brown spots still seeped into the avocado halves (even in my refrigerator).

It works great! It’s simple to use, keeps the avocado green, and is easy to wash. What else can you ask for?
