Quality product but beware of voltage as this machine is designed for 100v outlets.
A good machine and Tiger brand is the best mochi making machine out there. But beware that it's a Japanese product and takes 100 volts and can't plug it into USA electrical outlet.Luckily my mom had a down transformer that she uses for a Japanese fish baking machine. But this down transformer thing is little over $300.My mom had her previous Tiger mocha maker for over 30 years and it finally broke and the transformer is that old too. So they are quality products!

Overall did a great job
So far so good. We have used it to make some mochi or ncuav as we call it in my language. This was a lot bigger than my mom and I expected which was good. The mochi (ncuav) came out really well and it was pretty quick. Will update this review after a few uses.

Must use Mochi (sweet) rice for best results
I’m looking for a Mochi machine - my mother uses this one. For the gentleman, Jonathan who reviewed this Tiger brand Mochi machine, he asked if he was doing it right - it’s not recommended to use general purpose short/medium grain rice (meant for day to day meals) for Mochi. Your results will greatly improve if you find Mochi (sweet) rice which is a different rice grain (you might need to go to or order from a Japanese specialty store). Once you use Mochi rice I think your results will be greatly improved. Good luck.

They make to USA voltage and easy to use. The best of all..
I love it. They make to USA voltage and I don’t stress myself to look for a transformer voltage. Fast shipping and easy to use. I will buy it for future gift. I recommend this Mochi maker it’s the best for the price it’s big for what you pay for ❤️

Not sure if I'm doing something wrong, however, the rice never seems to cook properly…
Not sure if I'm doing something wrong, however, the rice never seems to cook properly before the kneading starts.I not sure if I am using the wrong rice either. I use a Calrose rice, e.g., Botan, Nishiki, &c. which are short to medium grain, good for sushi.Outside of that, if you can get the rice cooked properly, then it works wonderfully.
