D'Addario Accessories PW-GPKIT-10 DIY Solderless Pedalboard Kit, 10 feet, 10 plugs

I purchased a number of these kits as my ability and patience to solder small wires is terrible. I was building a rather large guitar effects floorboard with a 9 channel effects loop. I needed a lot of reliable custom length 1/4 .. 90 degree patch cables. These cables are the easiest and most pleasant experience I have ever had. The plugs even look good and are not to big as to over crowd the rear plug in area of my Effects Loop. They are extremely easy to cut and make into custom lengths so I did not have all kinds of extra wiring hanging out of the bottom of my new rig. Remember: there are 10 plugs in each kit which only makes 5 cables....I think I went through at least 3 of these kits which is not cheap. Amazon seemed to have the best pricing...even better than eBay and especially guitar center. I gigged with my new effects pedal board last week and I had no technical problems at all. I can not attest to the reliability of this wiring with heavy usage such as a guitar cable as my wires are semi-permanent in their locations and zip tied for extra strength on my board. So far I highly recommend these cables.

These cable kits are great. This is my second kit because it is the least expensive way to get more connectors. I have made a total of 8 cables so far and all have worked on first assembly. Great quality for the price point. Way better than the $2 pedal cables in the bins at the guitar stores but probably not the "best" cables in the world. (Something to explore once you sale a few million albums.) One simple desire, I just want to plug in my gear so I can play. If I like the tone I get than the cables are okay. I do not have the best ear but these seem to be neutral in their impact on your tone. These work for me and I recommend them if you are looking to get some good cables to connect your gear.If you are all about hardware specs I will try to save you some time. I tried researching cables. Found out that debating which is the perfect cable is like debating which is the perfect guitar or amp. Lots of theories and opinions but it all boils down to what you like in the end. If you get these I think you will be happy. Maybe take the money you save from not buying the "best" cables and get more gear.

I am a tech as well as a guitar player. I also have spent time in the past Teaching soldering. But these cables seem to be well made with good solderless connections. Most of us know by now that there's a lot of hype but it really comes down to Good Quality Cable (This Seems to be) Good Stable Connectors (These seem to be) & the connections between the two that last (Time will tell). All I know is I have Hand Soldered Special plugs with Good Cable to only have them break with use and I expect the same with these especially in a high use situation where they are plugged & unplugged often.- I do know these are signal clean & do Not bleed f highs & that is critical in my book.- They are Very Easy to use & can be done on Stage between or before sets very quickly and with NO Soldering & I Love that!I will definitely use these again unless I find a longevity problem.LM

Guitarists, and our pedal boxes!!!!.....No two pedalboard setups are the same, so why keep buying generic lengths of patch cable, and trying to make your pedals fit the cable, rather than the cable fitting your pedal setup!?....When I received this kit, it was in solid, quality packaging, all the 90 plugs were nestled in their mounting slots...it just looked good..like a well thought out plan. great...so, I needed a loop cable, out of a Boss NS2, thru the compressor, and overdrive, and back to the NS2...PERFECT......just line up the blank cable to the ins and outs of your pedals...hold it there, grab the cutter....( I worked it like a small tubing cutter,(plumbing)...it was fine...seconds later, with a clean cut, loosen the set screw on the plug, insert cable firmly, give a slight turn...hold steady..and set the screw tight, all the way. Worked first time, sounds great, NO problems, LOOKS good, NO overhang, NO slop.... Cables made BY YOU, and FOR YOUR PEDALS......need straight plugs?..those are available separately...this is great....now I want more pedals....

i am totally blown away by how well this product worked. I admit to being a sceptic, but Planet Waves proved me wrong. A lot of people say that Planet Waves makes just mediocre products, and if that is the case then this is a stand out product for them, Tried the George Ls and the Lava and these are just easier to use and worked flawlessly right after the cable was screwed in. I had my peddle board setup and running in 2 hours and that is taking the time to do cable management like a PC build and then re-dial all my pedals back in. needless to say I am 100% satisfied with this purchase.
