EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE, GREAT SUPPORT
These are the most comfortable shoes I have ever put on my feet. Comfy right out of the box. I have worn Easy Spirit almost exclusively for years, but the foot I had broken 2 years ago has given me much pain, and if my dog pulled me when we walked it would hurt for days. I started questioning support, and my sister recommended these shoes. The pain is almost gone when I wear these shoes. They were, indeed, slippery as other reviews have stated. A couple times out on the sidewalk took care of that problem. I have ordered another pair in the same style.

Comfy and sturdy shoes
Still going strong since July 2023 (and I'm writing this in May 2025). I bought these shoes after breaking a bone walking and my podiatrist suggested getting a sturdy and comfortable shoe for the healing weeks. I've since then added a high-arch insole (I have high arches that are taller than most standard shoes), and I wear these two or three times a week to work. The outsoles have held up well with regular walking both inside and outside. They really do hold their shape with lots of on and off. After getting these, I picked up another pair of Kizik shoes too and recommended them to others.

Did they change materisls?
I love kizik shoes. This is my 2nd pair of this style. They seem to be the same as my 2 years old one EXCEPT the sole seems slippery. I'll keep records them, but I'm wearing them very carefully. That grippy sole was one of my favorite features.

Great shoes, need dress shoe version!
My only complaint is that they don’t make dress shoes. The color is darker than pictured, so it’s more of a solid black with two shades than a grey and black as pictured.

Wasted $100: Beware of Kizik
So I contact Kizik politely, to explain my situation: Love their Madrid Eco Knit, which I’ve been wearing for several years (have bought several pairs by now). Love it so much that I bought a pair to keep in reserve. When I took it out to wear, I discovered that the construction of the shoe had been changed. (The most obvious change was the enlargement of the outsole, which now looked somewhat bloated and clown-like—I did not include this in my message.)My big toes hurt when I wear the shoes now, no matter how gradually I try to break them in. “Do you have any suggestions, please?” I ask. I thought maybe that stretching them out in a certain way might help.I get a response from someone with the name Maricel, who first asks for my (most recent) order number, which I promptly provide.Maricel then informs me that I am out of luck. Maricel contacted the warranty department, which responded by saying that the shoes don’t qualify for a return. The email concludes with the happy message, “The best is always around the bend.”I hadn’t asked to return the shoes. I had asked for guidance as to what someone in my situation might do. This was not a question for the warranty department.I’ve tried stretching out the shoes with some heavy wooden shoe trees but so far, no luck. Looks like I wasted $100 on shoes that I won’t be able to wear.I remember how wonderful customer service at Kizik was in years gone by. Too bad that this seems to have changed.

Slippery Soles
I thought I was ordering the same sneakers as my last pair. I guess not?The soles of this pair are very slippery!!!I almost went down the first time I wore them in the house😱But they are so cute and comfortable (and I’m lazy) so I’m keeping them. I’ll go outside and scrape the soles on the sidewalk and not wear them for walking my dog on the hilly slopes of grass in North Carolina.
