excellent monitor
From a tech-challenged runner: Fabulous heart rate monitor. Gives constant pace, which allows me to stay at a desired pace, (if able!) Gives elevation, distance, pace, training zones. Is easy to use and has all that is needed. App is on my phone and coordinates suitably with my iPhone.

Polar is a guarantee and this watch is perfect for beginners or intermediate runners who want to analize their runs during of after the excercise. very nice watch. I bought it for my mother in law and she liked very much and was pretty easy to lern how to operate it.

HUGE watch
This watch is easy to use and better than other athletic watches I've used because the battery lasts longer. BUT the size is HUGE. Someone needs to make a good watch for women.

Does not work
I just received this product. I have not used it. After it synced with the app and turned on briefly, it stopped working. Even after charging all night, it gets stuck on the start up screen or the buttons do nothing. I threw the box away, so now I am unsure if I can return it.

Not sure what to do.....
I had my old Polar M200 running walk for a few years before one of the hinges started cracking. I just purchased this Pacer about a week ago as an upgrade. With my activity level, I usually have a total energy expenditure of 2200-2500 / day according to my old M200. Based on weight and weight changes, I think that was pretty accurate. However, at the same activity level, the Pacer is giving me daily expenditures over 3000 / day. THIS CAN'T BE RIGHT!?!?!?! Is it just mine?
