It is durable and works well with my exercise routine. Has not failed me since I started using it.
This player is easy to work with is durable. I purchased a different brand before this one. The first brand after two uses started to skip, stop and then turn off. I took it back and tried another unit like the first one and it did the same thing. The first brand never worked right and I won't buy that brand anymore.(DO NOT USE MY NAME IN THIS REVIEW).

Not a quality product
Ordered for an upcoming period when I was going to have to listen to audio books due to eye operation. Checked it out for a brief time (about an hour) and it functioned properly. Unit wasn't the easiest to use but for the price couldn't complain. Sound quality was OK.After the operation, I started using it for audiobooks. Because I didn't want to use up batteries (it goes through them like water), I purchased an external DC power supply. This worked fine for One Day. Then suddenly it stopped accepting power from the external unit. Checked the external unit and it works fine powering other devices. However, when it is plugged into the CD player, the player stops working. Apparently when it senses external power plugged in, that power source takes priority, and since some circuit internal to the CD player won't accept the power, the unit stops. As soon as you unplug, it works again. Unfortunately, this thing uses batteries like nobody's business. So, this thing is basically useless for any sustained listening. Yes, you ca use rechargeables, but that's still an expense you shouldn't have to incur since it's supposed to also accept an external DC power supply. Unfortunately, the timing of the operation meant that by the time that this was discovered, it was one day after the return period.Lesson learned. Pay a bit more to get more quality.

Love this GPX Personal CD Player
I was very pleased with this GPX PC807B Personal Portable CD player. I bought it as a spare to replace my current GPX player in case it bites the dust. I love my older GPX player, and wanted one that was as close to it as I could find. This new one is very easy to use. I haven't used the ear buds because I have Bose headphones that I use, and the sound is great. I have played it for a little more than 4 hours so far, and the batteries are still working. My old player has buttons on top of the cover with very plain words of Play/Pause, Stop, Skip/Search, Mode, etc. It also has a large window so you can easily see the track number and battery indicator. This new one has the operating buttons on the top of the case but not on the whole cover. The buttons are smaller and the words are not as easy to read. Also, the window is much smaller making the view harder to read for those of us who do not have perfect eyesight. I don't know how the anti-skip works because I only use this player at night when I am in bed, and it just sits on my night stand. This is a great portable player at a great price. I recommend this GPX Player for its simplicity and sound.

This is the Droid You're Looking For
This is the droid you're looking for. If you're like me, your old trusty Sony Discman bit the dust after serving faithfully for, like, over 10 years. And, unlike all of your friends, you STILL listen to CDs. AND, your head is spinning with all the choices of the different cheap portable CD players on here. This one just plain works. I've bought a few on here this past summer, and there was something wrong with each one -- there was even one that cut off the first two seconds of each song. Imagine that: a device whose only function is to play music, and it can't even do that right. After a few weeks with this one, I haven't encountered any problems. The sound is fine, nothing gets cut off, headphones work smoothly with it. I doubt this will last as long as my dear departed Sony Discman (2002-2017 R.I.P.), but it's the best choice we have, IMHO.

Sounds Good -----BUT IT BROKE AFTER TWO DAYS!
I just received this cd player. It is easy to use-----the labels on the function keys are too small to read. Have the Sennheiser 558 headphones with the A3 amp connected to it-----sounds better than the cheap earbuds that came with the unit. Batteries are easy to install. CD door is easy to open. Plenty of volume. Numbers in the window are hard to read. I gave it five stars for now.....at this price I hope it lasts. UPDATE: Try Beats headphone on this unit. A little fuller sounding than the Sennheiser 558. IMPORTANT NOTE: I wrote the original review when I first received this player-----at that time it was working fine. BUT AFTER TWO DAYS IT STOPPED WORKING! Even though I gave this unit 5 stars, I would now like to change it to one star. SAVE YOUR MONEY-----WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT/

Good Enough for occassional use
I use it to play old CD's with Bose headphones when I take walks. Put it in my large pocket and usually it works without skipping. They just don't make these like they used to, which is kinda sad for those of us who have lived through so many tech changes in our long lifetimes and just don't like to spend $$ on constantly changing devices. This one is reasonable enough and works sufficiently well to be passable for use when walking. Seems a bit fragile, though and parts of plastic...well, just be gentle with it. Working on MP3 music, but while I take my time picking my favs, this alternative way to access my old cd tracks works in the interim.

Bought for 87 year old mother. Piece of junk
I need to change my original review. This didn't even last 90 days. I've spent 2 hours on the phone trying to get them to honor the warranty. In addition to hardly understanding the accent, they tried 4 different times to tell me that they didn't owe me a new one. They finally agreed, but I have to mail it back - on my dime, and only after they receive the bad one back, will they send a replacement. So my 88 year old Mom will have to go weeks without her books on tape. That would be fine, but she's blind. Gonna be a long 2 weeks without her books.
