The perfect mid-size utility straight blade
In 15 years of mixed outdoor experience (for fun and for SAR) I've flip-flopped repeatedly over carrying tiny lightweight knives, vs carrying large heavy knives.I think I've finally found "the one". Its very sturdy and well made, without being bloated and heavy. Light enough to not be bothersome in pack or on belt, while still having a pretty robust full-tang.It has VERY good sheath retention, with a positive *click* when it locks in. Also has handle strap to secure it as well, although I could be comfortable mounting it at any angle without the strap. Not the most expensive knife I've ever bought by a long shot (II have a broken $400 Benchmade folder laying around somewhere I've been meaning to get replaced)Over all 5/5, great balance of size, weight, sturdiness, and value

Great knife. Plastic fantasic sheath is garbage.
Knife feels great in my old hands. Perfect size for EDC. However, any EDC has to be quickly deployable. Be it a side arm or a knife. This model 52 takes two men and a boy to get it out of the sheath, which renders this fine knife useless to me. Also good chance you cut yourself because it is so hard to remove from sheath. What ever happened to good quality leather sheaths?? Check out the ESEE PR 4 , I think most would be much better off with knife/ sheath combo.

Best Bang For Your Buck
Great knife! The spine is thick and the handle is extremely comfortable. The length of the handle and blade match perfectly. And better yet, it’s a unique drop point. Very great design!

Poor Quality Contr
This arrived in very timely manner, but it would not come out of the sheath, even w/ moderate/strong pull to extricate & lite prying. This would make the product unsafe, as it could not be employed in an emergency situation. In 50 yrs of buying/collecting/using knives l' ve NEVER encountered this. l'vecontacted the seller to see if the have any ideas short of returnng it. But l am surprized that someone didn't do quaily control check at k bar or the seller to check & see if this product wasoperable BEFORE it arrived at the customer dr. l ll try to do a follow up
