Awesome bars. Ultra lightweight and super great price.

On my second set, they are light weight look great and has the geometry I was looking for in several stem length options. I did have my first pair crack on me (not break) so I have a 4 instead of a 5. Under a hit just a turn and I heard a crack, I inspected after the ride and found a 3” hairline. Still finished the ride safely and the bars had been ridden heavily. But all in all expected with carbon fiber, I’m hoping the second pair lasts longer.

Honestly for the price it was worth taking a chance on these when i was building up my XC bike, I'm actually an Local league Enduro racer but wanted a light XC bike for the recovery training. Little did i know how much fun modern xc bikes are! I bought this Bar / stem combo to keep the weight down. I am 6'3" and 220 lbs so not a light rider, I also tend to plow through the trails since i am primarily an enduro rider. these bars have now seen almost a year of abuse with no issues. no cracks or any sort of structural failures. they have seen their fair share of gnarly trails and crashes, my poor kona Hei Hei does not get treated like an XC bike. these have a nice amount of flex which helps when the trails get chattery. 100% recommend these. you don't always have to take a second mortgage to get great, light bike components.

Ordered 70mm, but the effective stem length is 50mm, verified against a bike with a proper 70mm stem and a kid's bike with a 35mm. That's a pretty substantial difference if your fit is dialed. Looks great on kid's bike, though, and for the price I had no hesitation to cut it down to 690mm. The stem-to-crown opening is nominally 1 1/8", but was VERY snug even with the bolts backed out. I almost had to pull out a mallet.My little ripper only weighs 80 lbs, so I'm not too concerned about the bar's strength for now.Overall a decent bar for the price, but manufacturing tolerances are a little loose, and I don't think I'd use it for intense riding.

The stem is thicker/taller than the alloy one I had on the fork. Thankfully I had a spacer installed an was able to remove it. As a result the stem is directly touching the headset, but the bike computer mount screw under the handlebars is interfering with the stem, so I had to remove it. Not sure if I will be able to mount the computer with only one screw… Another issue is that there are no torqueNevertheless, the bars are really solid and lightweight. They give a nice clean look to my hood. The negative stem angle lowered the bars a bit and now they are about the same height as my saddle. I recently installed a fork with longer travel that raised the front of the bike. I got the 740 mm version which is about an inch wider than my old bars. I am curious see how the handling on the trail changed. I ll take it for a spin tomorrow and update the review.
