USB Digital ATSC Clear QAM TV Tuner with HD MPEG DVR Recorder

I gave it 5 stars because it works great for my needs. It should be noted that I use it when I'm outside on my laptop. It would be nice if they had downloadable drivers from the web. I had to fire up an old PC on my network that had a CD-ROM drive, share it out, and then I was able to install the drivers and software. The software interface is easy to use. Now I can watch football when I'm outside on my laptop. Love it!

Shipping on this was painfully slow, when the item arrived, the MAIN PART of the item was not in the package, the dongle itself was missing, all that was there was a crappy little antenna, a useless USB cable, and a driver CD, and who the heck ships hardware with an optical disk in 2022? Like new computers come with optical drives any more... Why not a 5.25" floppy disk?Amazon ordered my replacement but it has been a week and hasn't even shipped yet. AVOID THIS THING LIKE DISEASE RIDDEN VERMIN!Amazon should pull this listing like yesterday. Even if the dongle arrived, there is no way to download the driver software so it is useless. Going to spend the money and get a Hauppage...

It works like is advertised, But the antenna is kinda strange. It will not pick up all my local broadcast channels. I had to add a UHF antenna to get all my channels. I does record any presets you set up and puts it in MK4 format

I mistakenly purchased this for my Chromebook. The sellers were wonderfully understanding. I hope I have an opportunity to purchase something else from them in the future.

I was really hoping this thing would be as great as it seemed, but it has given me almost nothing but trouble. When I first bought it, it was pretty easy to set it up, and I even got it tuning channels within Windows Media Center. Shortly thereafter, Microsoft discontinued support for Windows 7 (and along with it, WMC). I upgraded to Windows 10, and was never able to get this to tune again. I can install the drivers that it came with, but ArcSoft can't seem to tune channels. I've tried NextPVR and MediaPortal. NPVR's channel scan fails to detect anything. MediaPortal's channel scan finds channels, but fails to lock on any of them (which tells me there's probably something wrong with the antenna, but I can't seem to figure the problem out). Kodi exhibits similar behavior. The one time it worked in ArcSoft, the picture quality wasn't bad, but I've never had success since. Tech support is almost non-existent. Unfortunately, I can't recommend buying this since it only ever worked once.

Arrived in timely manner and in good condition. Easy to install.I did not need the antenna (already had cable from roof antenna) but have to wonder if would get good reception in basements.Main reason ordered this model was it already had the coax connector built in so easy to install.A minor few issues worth mentioning :- it does not have a pause option (unless you are recording which I do not do), in other words you can't be watching the news and pause the program then start again.- the main use for me is to watch / listen to the morning news while checking emails or working on computer. The previous t.v. card (Vista) allowed for the window to be minimized and only show the t.v. part. This unit also allows minimization BUT there is a somewhat large blue border around the t.v. screen (outside) which is always present (the border on the other one went away after a few seconds).Would have rated a 4 but the blue border (when minimized) is irritating.

Works great! I use it once in a while to watch T.V.

The media could not be loaded. Don't buy it, and don't get me started on Amazon's seller friendly 30-day return policy. I guess better living through lowered expectations is the norm now.Should have read the supported OS more closely. When I went back and saw Windows XP and Vista was supported should have realized this was some really old hardware that the manufacture was throwing out into the market at a low price to get rid of remaining inventory.The screen shots of the software in the listing isn't what it looks like. The interface and controls are unreadable. Maybe if I was running Windows XP or Vista (both DISCO op systems) the experience would be better, or Win 7.Basically the hardware is really designed for Win XP Media Center or Windows Media Center on Win 7. Unfortunately Microsoft decided not to port Media Center to W10 or higher.
