I used to do a lot of painting but these days my hands aren’t as steady as they once were (nor are my eyes as sharp!). I’ve got a bit of detail work to do so decided to try these out but wasn’t confident about my own physical abilities. The price (£7.99 for 9 brushes at time of review) is very reasonable for decent brushes. They came in no frills packaging - plain plastic bags with the usual clear plastic tubes to protect the bristles. The handle is fairly short which I find very useful when doing fine details - less fiddly to handle. The finish is very glossy and I worried that they might become slippery in use but I didn’t find this to be the case. There is a trinagular grip area that is meant to be ergonomic. Initially I found this awkward and in use I found I naturally grip the brushes below this area, which actually meant the thicker triangular bit helped me keep my hand in place, so I liked that better than I thought. They’re also numbered so easy to organise and keep track of sizes, and there’s a good range of small sizes going down to the finest brush imaginable. They ended up working brilliantly for the task I had in mind, I feel like the triangular grip even helped me to rest the brush in such a way that it helped keep my hand steady, so I am very happy with these indeed and recommend them without reservation.
