At the beginning it seemed ok. But after a few weeks the leather started to get off the rubber. NowI just have to fix it with some kind of glue... how unfortunate!

A good addition to your camera outfit.
I liked the idea of this camera strap pad, it's fairly heavy so that will need to be taken into consideration when you have a long day carrying a heavy camera outfit, saying that though it is comfortable and is thicker one side than the other which helps to keep it firmly on your shoulder. Velcro straps are provided so that it can be quickly changed around when you want to wear it across the chest on the other shoulder. The quality of this item is clearly very good, which one would expect from an American company in their class.

When it arrived, the padded bit was coming away from the backing, and had to be reapplied using superglue. But despite this initial disappointment, it was this shoulder pad that performed best with my Peak Design Messenger style camera bag and is now a regular on that bag. I have it loosely attached to the strap which allows it to travel up and down the bag strap when I change the bag's position to take out lenses etc., enabling me to keep it positioned on the shoulder nicely. So yes, I recommend it, as it works very well.

Good. I think.
It's hard to say, but I think this is good. It's expensive and not particularly attractive, but the soft mouldable foam seems to do it's job and cushion the weight of all the pockets, buckles and clips of my heavy leather satchel. Without conducting experiments I can't say how the comfort compares with cheaper (and prettier) leather shoulder pads. I am happy with this, and it will hopefully last as long as I do.

On opening the packaging my first impressions were it was overly stiff and chunky, but after a few outings and some position tweeking to find the sweet spot on my shoulder it has softened and settled down nicely. It doesn't move on either shoulder and seems to balance out the weight of the gear in my bag. So far there is no sign of it delaminating, but looking at it's construction it doesn't look like too much of a hardship to apply some glue to any affected areas. As far as I'm concerned it's a good buy.
