Reading Adventures Disney Princess Level 1

Bought for my Year 1 daughter who is suffering a few more weeks out of school due to year group covid closure. These are short books, not to be mistaken by parents as story books they can read to their child but very much simple, short repetitive sentences for the child to read (which is what I was after). I didn’t read the description properly so the stickers and certificate that come with the set were a welcome addition.You’ll get through the set quickly no doubt, but in my opinion this in an inexpensive set and helps to boost confidence outside of their usual school reading schemes. These books do NOT simply have all decode-able words/cvc words. That being said, this forces your child to think a little, look for picture clues to work out the word etc. Which isn’t a bad thing.Following this purchase, I went on to buy “World of Reading Disney Classic Characters Level 1 Boxed Set” and this set has strangely much longer sentences and substance to it, but is still titled Level 1?

Great set of books. I was looking for books which were similar to the reading books my primary 1 foundation level child was reading in school and these, so far, are the only ones that fit the bill. (I have bought other books graded as level 1 however they are too difficult for a foundation level new reader)These books use simple sentence structure, key words and repetition in order to build confidence and vocabulary in comprehension. I want to reinforce my child's vocabulary and reading ability. These books build confidence and thus interest in reading as a skill. They are also very reasonably priced. I am very pleased with these.

My daughter loves these books - a big hit! She is 5 and I think this Level 1 set is actually too easy for her - but that is my fault possibly for getting Level 1 and not 2. Excellent value for money. Has made my daughter more enthusiastic about reading.

Brought for my 5 year old. Books are great quality and come in a lovely box. Ella was impressed with the stickers that came with it too. Books are clear and easy to read with a picture on every page. My daughter was getting board with the reading in school as they were only allowed to read one page a night so we brought these so she could read as much as she wanted.I will be buying the next stage for xmas

This is a really good way to get children wanting to read. My daughter gets bored really easy when reading and always asks me to finish off but this stickers and the fact the books are a good size to not get sick of the story is great. My daughter can't wait to read the book and pick a sticker to go on her chart.Note: the chart is not included, I printed one off the Internet.

Thrilled with these books! My daughter is 4 and is learning to read using the biff and chip books at school. She does read them but she sees it as a chore which is a real shame as I want her to enjoy reading. These disney princess books are a god send for me and incredibly cheap. You get 10 books in a handy cardboard carry case with a velcro fastener 2 sheets of stickers and a certificate to give your child. The stories (as you would expect for level 1 ) are basic and repetitive with approx 16 pages to a book and maybe a sentence or two to a page. It is a tool to teach your child to read rather than an actual "story" but my daughter loves these books as she is a massive disney princess fan. I would definitely recommend these to anyone who has a child that is learning to read and I hope there is a level 2 in the same style. One of the best things I have bought for my daughter in a long time.

These are good quality books and they are easy to read. However my almost 5 year old hates them they are really boring and overly repetitive. "Rapunzel can run, she can run with her feet. Rapunzel cam sing, she can sing with her voice " theres no story at all

Perfect for my 5 year old daughter who is in reception. She can read them herself and of course she loves princesses so it is super fun! It's been hard to find any books that she can read herself whilst we are in isolation. Had these in my basket until they came into stock so buy them quickly if you're considering them.
