Brilliant
Brilliant. Many extras such as deleted scenes, outtakes and interviews. It doesn't matter how many times it's watched, it's still as funny as the first time.

A classic of television comedy, in a satisfying box set..
Let me start by saying that I have never owned any previous Office dvd releases, and I hadn't watched the show for a good few years before I got this set. So I really enjoyed re-visiting the entire series from beginning to end. This show really is a classic, and it's good to be reminded of just how superb Ricky Gervais was as David Brent.Anyway, let me get down to the actual set. There is more than enough bonus content here; various documentaries, deleted scenes, outtakes, interviews with well-known fans of the show (such as Richard Curtis and David Baddiel) and a commentary for the final episode. It is all spread across 4 discs. As others have complained, not everything is here. The full pilot filmed for the BBC is not included, only the 'pre-pilot' made earlier. And no those Microsoft training videos are not here, but can be located on Youtube. My only criticism of this set is the way the new 'exclusive' bonus material is integrated on the Series One disc. Each episode has an introduction featuring interviews from Gervais, Merchant and others. Then over the end credits a little interview excerpt will pop up. I appreciate the material but it is irritating how you cannot watch the episodes without it. It is most frustrating with Episode One where Mackenzie Crook is talking over the opening titles and Hugh Jackman (!) pops up over the end credits to say how funny Brent is. Unnecessary and disappointing decision. However, I give the set 5 stars because the show is so good and the extra material on the most part is more than welcome. If you don't already have the show on dvd then this set is a must buy (and at a good price).

The Office 10th Anniversary Edition - Complete Series 1 & 2 and the Christmas Specials
This is a simple idea executed brilliantly. A mock fly-on-the-wall documentary about a group of workers in an office environment. Ricky Gervais', (David Brent) performance is outstanding, delivering subtitle humour that if you get it, is extremely funny. Gervais does faux pas exceptionally well and this is a an underlying theme in most of his projects.David Brent simply wants to be liked and to fit in with everybody he meets; if someone has done something better than him, then he will try and do something or say something that one-ups them. This often leads to embarrassing and awkward situations.Along with the humour there are also emotional moments throughout the series, such as with Tim (played by Martin Freeman) and Dawn, (played by Lucy Davis) unspoken affections. There are even emotional moments with Brent himself, where he beings to realise that you can't get everybody to like you in life.Highly recommended viewing for people wanting to enjoy an excellent British sitcom, with great writing and acting.

Best TV Series ever
You'll not find a funnier tv program than The Office. Having given my VHS copies to my dad years ago, I had to rewatch them again, so decided to buy this boxset at the very decent price of £10.Loved rewatching every minute, and would recommed this to anyone who has or hasn't seen the office. One gripe; the 5 minute talking head intros are slightly pointless / annoying, but I suppose they had to do something for the 10th anniversary edition.

The entertainer
David Brent is the well meaning but clueless and incompetent manager of a small paper company in Slough and has allowed a BBC film crew into his office to film a documentary. While not quite up there with the all time great British comedies, it is still one of the best British comedies of the 21st century so far. Excellent performances from Ricky Gervais as the likeable but hopeless Brent who thinks he is the world's best boss and undiscovered comic talent. We've all worked for somebody like Brent at one time or another which is what makes this series so relatable and likeable. There is also excellent performances from Mackenzie Crook as Gareth, Brent's loyal and eager assistant and jobsworth who nobody takes seriously, Martin Freeman as Tim, one of the salesman who loves to wind up Gareth for fun and is in love with receptionist Dawn, another excellent performance from Lucy Davis in a rather sweet relationship plus various supporting characters. My personal favourite being the unnamed male cleaner who never says a word but stops what he's doing and just stares cluelessly at the cameras. It is funny and painful to watch at the same time mainly thanks to Brent who thinks he has to be politically correct all the time yet still manages somehow to offend everyone yet you can't tear yourself away from it. Every first series episode is introduced by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant who wrote and directed every episode with interviews from the cast and celebrity fans of the show which can be interesting to watch but annoying if you want to skip and just watch the episodes giving you insight into how the series was made plus lots of other extras including a pre pilot like a tryout of the series that was never broadcast on TV.

The original pilot is included aswell which I found just a funny as the series.Really brings back the memories of JULY 2001 when I first watched his and for a few minutes thought it was a real documentary.

Pure Genius
This is a superb show shame its only 6 episodes would have loved about 12 or more, this show is pure comedy genius partly because its so down to earth and grounded in an ordinary boring job filled with colourful characters, and the commentary at the beginning of each episode can be skipped to the start of the episode with one click on your remote, the other reviews made such a big deal out of this and give it like 1 star, really?
