Great stuff
I cut this into strips and edged a plasterboard wall near a log burner with it. Worked a treat, the wall doesn’t get warm at all.

Pricey, but the only choice, especially for the AGA heat transfer pump
We have a 32A electric AGA, and are charged up to £400 to have the heat transfer pump replaced every time the bearings seize up, about every 2 or 3 years. For about £2 and some careful dismantling you can remove the pump, replace the bearings, and put it back. But the original thermal board is very fragile, and falls apart if you sneeze: this board is exactly the right width, it's stronger, and makes an excellent replacement. Cuts easily with a Stanley knife, and you can get at least two units out of it.

Good
Very small board I need to protect something from high heat for a short while. It looks a bit like cement board. It doesn't burn and could be handy of you are soldering or brazing and need something behind the work piece to protect from heat.

Does the job
Bought these to sit above a bio ethanol burner in a fake fireplace. The plasterboard was getting too hot to touch, so I wanted to protect it. Tried to glue (lazy) these but my glue didn’t work. Screwed them onto the plasterboard and they work a treat. Peace of mind restored.
