Excellent fire guard we got it as our old terrier has lost his sight so we needed him to be safe It fits perfectly round our log burner and looks attractive as well

A good and well made product, but ordered on the basis of the measurements provided, which doesn't include the wall fixings at the end which are welded on and stick out another 4cm. It should have fit perfectly, but it now sticks out over the edge of the hearth and looks a bit silly

My little dog, JRT, pushing her ball under the fire stove and then trying to retrieve it, such fun!There are lots of fire guards on the market that are really nice looking and cheaper BUT, the sides of the guards are not wide enough to go around the fire stove and not sturdy enough to take knocking.This fire guard does fit and can be fixed to the wall for safety, it will stop her from posting her ball anywhere near the fire.It is not very pretty to look at but will keep her safe.

The media could not be loaded. This fireguard will not stop toddlers from being able to slip their hands and arms through the vertical bars that are spaced at 2" (sides) - 2.25" (front). We addressed this with chicken wire and many nylon ties. The front corner struts (which can be easily removed by an inquisitive toddler) and rear hook fixings do not prevent the guard from being moved from side to side. Additional fixings or brackets to the base are needed to assure a rigid, unmoveable guard.The guard is well finished and the opening door with two catches allows easy access to our Clearview wood burner. An observant 18 month old toddler will realise that the top latch on the inside can be reached and flipped open. If it were placed lower down on the inside it would be an improvement. The other latch is easily accessed being located mid height on the front.

Sturdy, and looks good. Easy to fit. I’m just the right size for a Woodburner.

This fire guard is a well made and with an excellent finish.A couple of improvements would make it perfect :The two top front corner braces are too easily removed. My 14 - month old grandchildren (twins) delight in lifting them out so perhaps a screw fixing could be adapted.I had to batten my wall to facilitate the rear side fixing. Some adjustable depth fixing would be helpful.Otherwise I would have awarded 5 Stars.

Bought to keep my dogs getting too close to the fire. Having the gate on it makes it easy to put logs on and it looks good too
