Great, but surprisingly not as great as the older SoundStation 2 it replaced
I had an older SoundStation 2 (w/o the display) that had served me superbly for many years, but when the mute button started wearing out (had to stab it hard several times to get it to work), I decided to just replace it with a newer unit instead of trying to fix it. As the phone line I need to connect it to is analog, I chose this model. I found I could also connect it to my network (in addition to the analog phone line), as a network connection allowed me to easily adjust some of the phone settings (via a web interface). I like all the enhancements to this phone (over my old SoundStation 2), but I've been told by remote parties that I'm harder to hear than I used to be on my older unit (and I sit with my mouth about 18-24 inches from one of the mics)... I often have to lean in to within 12 inches of the mic before people say it's ok. Considering this is designed for conference rooms, I'm surprised by that. I also found that if anyone else is talking, I can't seem to talk over them... I'm not sure if that is due to an issue with the full-duplexing, or just that the mic is so weak I'm unable to speak over others (or some other issue). That said, I'm still pleased and still feel Polycom's are the best speakerphones I've ever used.

Polycom has very poor customer service
I ran in to a problem with the initial setup. I selected English and it came up Chinese. No amount of tinkering on my own could change it. I called Polycom. After 1/2 hour on hold, they said call back - we are busy. A subsequent call fared no better. I tried 2 emails . They sent me a link to login to my account. After trying for 2 days, it would not work. I sent another email to the support site - No response. The phone does work for making / receiving calls, but nothing else can be accessed. I was also somewhat disappointed with the call quality compared to my 13 year old Polycom that died. More tinny and lower volume, even with it turned up to full. Probably will return and buy something from a company that cares about it's customers.

Either Polycom's quality has declined severely, or I drew the short straw!
I bought this so I could use it now with a POTS line, and continue to use it as a SIP phone after we move to hosted VOIP.Using it with a POTS line, it starts out sounding fine, but as it runs, it develops a pulsing in and out, cutting off the audio.I've gone back to using our old Toshiba DTK-2020FDSD for conferences until I can figure out what's wrong with this waste of $500.

Good, but you might need some IT support
This phone was bought for a not-for-profit's headquarters. Unfortunately, this phone isn't a plug and go (or easily programmable). It's seems to be good quality, but it hasn't worked yet due to lack of IT skills available in our office.Update: I am upgrading the review of the product as even when just plugging in a mobile phone it works great. The mic in this guy picks up voices perfectly across the 12+ foot boardroom table. The speaker(s?) are also very clear, making it easy for those traveling to call in.

Unreliable and mediocre quality
The unit has broken twice in 3 years. Callers often complain of poor microphone levels despite the fact that we have 2 additional remote microphones.Update: a third one just died.
