Simple to wire and set up.
Solid well made unit with simple controls for dusk and duration. Connections a little fidly, best to wire up, then screw to the wall.Unit is well sealed and secure.

Great dusk timer with caveat
Easy to install and wire up.Works well with one caveat when in dusk timer mode it doesn't reset to off until timer has timed out. So if dark cloud comes over and sets it off it'll wait for set timer period (4hrs in my case) before turning off the load even in bright sunlight...bit of a design flaw imho ..but it will re-trigger when darkness occurs again.When in dusk to dawn mode it will reset to off as soon as it is bright enough..I'm using it to trigger some lights in a large greenhouse at dusk but don't need the lights on all night, so this should save some energy.It has two grommets in the rear for cable entry and only needs two fixing screws for wall mounting.It has a small 'knock out' for a drain hole . realistically it's easier to drill a 2mm hole where the knockout is . (Nothing is really waterproof) .

Doesn’t work ‘DuskTill Dawn’
Not as advertised!It says “Dusk till Dawn” but actually will only stay on for 8 hours max - so UK winter when it’s dark at 4pm it willOnly stay on till midnight and then turn off. That’s not ‘Dusk till Dawn!

Long lasting and reliable
I bought this to replace the same one which was 10 years old. Works well and these are long lasting. My only gripe is in order to change the time on duration and sensitivity you have to unscrew the cover each time. In summer you might only want the lights to come on for 2 hours at sunset whilst in winter you will need 4 or more hours. Over time the screws will wear down and you won't no longer get an effective seal on the unit hence why I had to replace it. It's a shame the controls weren't placed underneath like floodlight PIR units.

Does the job perfectly and lux level is adustable.
Wanted to replace a NEMA unit. That one came ON way too early and went OFF too late.This one has some additional nice features: Lux level is adjustable. In addition, you can set the time it stays on for, if you do not wish the full dusk to dawn functionality. Installation straightforward. With electricity prices what they are< this unit will after a while pay for itself. Can recommend this unit.ONE THING TO NOTE: observe max. switch ratings. 500 watt max inductive, 1KW resistive. The amazon description does not mention this.
