Autosol Chromed Plastic Cleaner, Paste Non-abrasive Chrome Cleaner Plastic Polish for Home, Bike, Boat and Car Cleaning 75ml Tube

Bought this for the plastic chrome detailing on my wife's and my car, which had become a bit dulled and rather stained over time. Had tried removing the marks previously with car shampoo, but this wasn't really effective and I was reluctant to try stronger cleaner/polishes as I didn't want to harm the chrome finish which doesn't seem as durable as chrome over metal.The Autosol product is applied sparingly and gently rubbed in using a circular motion, then polished off with another soft cloth. I found that it restored the shiny chrome finish and removed small deposits without having to use much effort and seemed quite gentle. The tube should last quite a while as only a small amount is needed to be effective. I guess it would work equally well on consumer electronics products that have chromed plastic trim. An excellent product from a trusted brand.

It got rid of most of the marks and blemishes, but it never had a chance with some of the deep pitting.Very easy to use, just like solvol autosol, but for plastics.

Used this on the chrome fire surround and it brought it back to a nice shine.

It’s ok, but was expecting better results. Maybe takes some time and a number of applications to see noticeable changes

My Volkswagen has a lot of chrome effect strips on all sides and recently I noticed a staining on most which did not shift when washing car. Looked like water marks or such dried on the trim. Tried several various polishes, cleaners etc but nothing seemed to work.Saw an advertisement for this product, noted the good reviews from most reviewers and thought I’ll try it and see. Not cheap but starting to run out of ideas. Came quickly and tried without delay.Really pleased with how well this removed most of the tarnish immediately with little effort. Some slight tarnish remained in one or two places but a second pass removed same. Does not need much polish at a time so should last a long time. Did all the trim on the car including low down trim and all cleaned up very well. Would highly recommend this product to use. Cleaned up a metal bumper protector on the car well too as a bonus.

Used this to get surface spots/water marks off plastic chrome trim around vehicle windows. No discernible improvement.

Did an excellent job on bringing some old weathered plastic chrome looking car trims/roof rails back to life again, tried all sorts of chrome cleaner and polish with no effect but with a bit of time and effort this worked a treat, 2 or 3 applications required for real bad weathering and trims that haven't been looked after

Maybe I was misled, maybe I misread? I thought this product could remove stained plastic chrome as it polished it. No, it doesnt. In my case it made the stains more pronounced. As I write I'm still able to return it, but as I'd probably have to pay postage, together with my time to the drop-off point it's not worth it. Product thrown away.
