Hurricane Helene
I bought these for "just incase". Was thinking- 1 for car, truck, daughter's car & an extra. That was months ago. Then- Helene just about washed out 1/2 my town a few weeks ago. We didn't have power for 10 days (LOTS of people still don't). These little flashlights were AWESOME! I had limited batteries so it was REALLY NICE not having to worry about battery charge using these continually night after night. We had 2 big battery power flashlights that we used sparingly & an oil lantern (the oil lantern burned through wick QUICKLY & wasn't much brighter than a candle- gave up on it & stopped using it by night 3). I loved that these can be clipped to a belt loop for hands free to see where your walking. They are flat-ish, instead of round- I could easily hold mine under my chin to see when I needed my hands. I sat it on my shoulder, pointed at my book, & could see to read (I have a bazillion paperbacks- YAY FOR OLD SCHOOL). They can be sat, light up, in a coffee cup & make enough glow.... not to read by, but to make out the furnishings in a room, to not be in pitch black dark. With just one on like that I could see the whole room- enough to get up & move around without bumping into things. We did this before bed too- cranked for a minute or so & sat upright in a cup & it would light up the room, just enough to see, until sun up!! Cranked to many times made it to bright to sleep, but a few cranks lasted all night! I put them all on the porch banister, in the sun, all day. Sitting outside by "campfire" or later in the house we'd all just crank them at random (like a fidget toy, lol) & none of the 4 failed at any time. I would trust all 4 of these lights if I needed them again, even after as much as we've used them already! I am buying more & my family/coworkers will be getting them for Christmas. After what we've just been through- I believe they'll be much appreciated. Me & my family was super thankful to have them!!

Bright Flashlights with Multiple Power Sources
I made this purchase after an extended power outage in my state. I wanted to have them for the house and for my emergency kits in each vehicle. Though these are small flashlights that fit in the palm of your hand, they're inexpensive and quite powerful for their size. They produce a decent amount of light, and I can confirm that the hand crank mechanism works to provide power for the flashlight. This isn't a light you'd want to use as a sustained light source, but it works well for locating items in the dark or other similar situations.

So handy
We live in the south and as most know the tropical storms are no joke, sometimes leaving us without power for weeks. These are so handy and useful. Quality is great as well as value.

Nice to keep by the door
The media could not be loaded. Crank doesn't last super long but definitely let's you walk the dog. Just crank again and your recharged. I keep them all throughout and really enjoy them so far!

Childhood Memories
I love these. These are just like the crank flashlights I had when I was a child. They work easy and last!

At approx. $6 per unit I don't feel bad buying these, but... well, read on...
Like the ad says, the flashlight has only 3 LEDs (10,000 mcd or roughly 18 lumens); it puts out sufficient light to see dimly at night but don't plan on using it for reading or such. I purchased these to clip onto emergency "get-home" daypacks to to toss into the trunks of my & my kid's vehicles. They are meant to be a last-choice light source of other car flashlights. I also have thin light Mylar ponchos, they are not meant to eliminate the use of real raincoats and umbrellas, but are a backup that fits firmly in the "better than nothing" category. I removed these from the daypack straps and put them in a zip-lock sandwich bag as THESE ArE NOT WATERPROOF!! Likewise they have no USB charging ports - the tiny solar panel and crank handle are the ONLY method of charging the teeny-tiny (40 mAh) Ni-MH internal battery. If this review sound negative, it isn't intended to be - just realistic. This is 100% intended to be realistic, and realistically this is a backup for a go-bag. Plus in emergency scenarios it will give kids something to fidget over that is actually productive. If you have a go-bag or are preparing for any kind of emergency, this is a good addition. I bought a total of 8 flashlights and don't regret it. Just wish it came in "here I am" blaze orange rather than "you will never hind me in the grass" OD green.
