I have recently begun teaching myself to draw. I found searching for the right pencils very overwhelming since I was not sure which pencil was best used for different parts of the drawing or project.Almost like learning how to use the 7 kinds of forks or spoons at a ridiculously fancy dinner where you do not know anyone!However, this set has served me very well. The variety has allowed me to experiment with my drawings and decide which kinds of pencils felt the most natural when creating.Thanks to the extra sketch pads and variety (which did not fall apart at the top as most sketch books seem to), I have had so much fun learning through experimentation that I have begun to feel as I might just know what I am doing.Without a doubt, this would be the perfect set to send to someone unsure and just starting out.I have no illusions that a more experienced person would also appreciate the variety and selection.Price point was set just right! This produce really exceeded my expectations, the case is wonderful, the sketching pencils, charcoal pencils, willow charcoal sticks are excellent for the price.The charcoal pencils have thick vines and are not easily broken and easy to sharpen with the provided utility knife. The size of the case is much bigger than I expected it to be and I will continue to use it for my art supplies I would hope for many years to come, it's quality is nice and I also like it has a handle.I will be trying more pandafly products after this purchase, I purchased one for myself and one for a gift.The only negative is the paper is not that great quality unless you are just sketching but it does fit inside the case and has 3 colors white tan and blackJust buy it already! Lol

This drawing kit is perfect for beginners. Quality of it all is really good. Everything you need in one sturdy case. And the price is low considering everything in the case is of higher quality.

If you are new to drawing/artistic endeavors and don't want to spend a fortune buying supplies piece by piece, this is a great way to get a feel for different mediums.I spent too much time comparing similar sets, reading reviews, checking to see what exactly was included in each, and trying to find the one that had everything I wanted at a reasonable price with minimal duplicates. Only this set fits the bill

I'm a pro painter, but I hadn't done any pencil work for like 40 years, LOL. I had been wanting something simple to do when I didn't have a lot of time, so I wanted to try my hand at drawing again and this set was well within my budget for an experiment. I'm quite happy with it, I'm still trying to learn all the tools. I could not make the white pen work. I couldn't sharpen the white chalk pencils with the included sharpeners, the chalk kept breaking. So I tried my electric pencil sharpener and it worked fine. Pictured are my first two drawings after four decades. Overall, very happy with this set. I may be taking the little drawing pads and an assortment of the pencils with me on vacation.

I’m taking an art class after 55 years of scribbling. The class requires supplies and offers a kit that is excellent for the class but I just couldn’t afford it. So I went about trying to get my own supplies, or most of them. This little supplied-filled case fit the bill. It has most of the things I needed for the class minus a few which I filled in and still came in way under the price of the offered kit. And it has the nice, sturdy zippered case which was not part of the class offered kit. It has two sketch pads which I also needed for the class (or myself)) which are small. Usually 9x12 is the norm for drawing and/or sketching. But I draw small so it was fine by me.Other new people to the next class I’ve taken have asked where I got this and I’m happy to tell them to look on Amazon and I found it there.

Got this kit for my niece who was started to draw and what to learn. Great for learning
