Beware of the converter/adapter
The supplier provided a substitute “Pentax K mount” converter without hesitation. Unfortunately, having fitted the camera body with ease, despite my best endeavours over a couple of days, it was impossible to remove the converter. This resulted in the body having to be taken to a camera shop for repair at an estimated cost of £385.00. The lens itself is better than expected but BEWARE of using the adapter/converter - it is worth looking to see if there is a proprietary converter that will take a screw fitting.

Can't detach from camera.
Beware. I fitted this to my Canon 1000D and can't get it off again. Someone else had the same problem. Lucky it was only my spare camera. Apart from that it is a reasonable lens given the price.

Great Buy
I bought this for my wife as she is into photography and loves taking photo's of wild life, The lens is some job and she loves it as it did come complete with adapter and Alan Key to tighten. I also bought her the full cleaning kit as this way she can clean her own lenses and she is always out using her you zoom lens. She would recommend this High Definition Telephoto lens to anyone who loves photography as it does give you a lovely photo and you don't have to stretch or trying killing yourself for that one perfect shot. I may get her another camera and zoom lens near Christmas since now she has an interest in wildlife.

Inexpensive way to play around with Telephoto lenses
The media could not be loaded. This lens certainly isn't perfect, and it takes a lot of work to get a decent shot, but it's a great way to play around with telephoto shots without spending a fortune. The lens comes with a T2 Canon EOS adapter, but with another adapter it would work with a Nikon camera too. So effectively you have a 2-camera compatible lens. It also has a plastic storage bag. The lens itself is about 750g so is lighter than expected. The tripod mount is made of plastic, but for some reason the manufacturer painted it! The paint immediately started peeling off, have a look at my attached video. I ended up taking this mount off, sanding it down to remove all the paint and re-fitting it. Until I did that, fragments of paint were getting over everything. This wasn't a great first impression. This lens is 'dumb' in that it has no electrical components, there's no auto-focus, you can't change the aperture (other than changing the focal length) and it is completely manual focus. This can make taking well-lit and well-focused shots difficult.I just about coped by adjusting the focal length, then adjusting the shutter speed until the exposure meter was balanced, before finally focusing the camera and taking the shot. In some circumstances you need a very long shutter speed, so using a tripod is advised.Image quality is almost always limited by your environment, you need lots of light (the camera is unusable indoors). It just about copes on a cloudy day, but sunny days are best. You also need a steady hand if you don't use it on a tripod. It's not suitable for an action shot due to the time it takes to manual focus (sorry Paparazzi, you will have to get a much more expensive telephoto lens!).Another annoying thing I noticed is that the top corners (both left and right) are dark when used at 800mm.There are no bells and whistles, it's basic and does the job. For its price it is good value for money, I just wish they hadn't painted the tripod mount!

Ruili issues
Pleased with actual lens. Good for wildlife photography, distant shots. Will take practice to get best results, focusing sometimes is hard to get right but should be ok as you become more familiar with lens. It appears to be a good cheap alternative. The strange thing is that I ordered a Ruili 420-800mm F/8.3-16 High Definition Telephoto Zoom Lens with T Mount Adapter for Canon EOS1000d and received a Kelda lens....
