This thing is a must have. You end up not needing all those chlorine tablets and it's much nicer to swim in the salt water. No more blurry eyes or chemical smell. Get one, you'll love it. It's built well. Easy to set up and use. No leaks. A great money saver over time. It works perfectly on my 18 foot round coleman/bestway pool. Good fit for pools around 5000 gallons but probably much larger as I only need to run it 5 hrs a day. (My pool is shaded) You probably have to run it longer in bright sunny areas. I have crystal clear water!

Easy to install!Now you do need another pump with this! It is to replace any chlorine products you need to purchase and make your pool a saltwater pool. So we purchased a sand pump and it is a great working pair!My first purchase , so great value for money.

Last season it worked great on our new Bestway pro steel max. This yea due to the rusting of almost all of the horizontal supports, Bestway sent an entirely new pool instead of replacing just the rusted parts so kudos to them. This year set up the new pool and as last year added the required amount of salt. after checking the chlorine a few times a day I noticed that the chlorine level was not registering, but the green light was on saying all was good. I called Bestway and spoke to a customer service rep, once he realized i was literally 4 days over the warranty he said there was nothing he could do. SO DON'T BY THIS PROJECT!!

I have owned this unit for a month and a half. It works great. It is producing the right amount of chlorine for our pool. It is keeping our pool pretty darn clear. What is nice, when we get out of the pool, our skin does not feel irritated like it would if we had chlorine tablets instead. Now I got a super good deal on this when I purchased it. Now I do not know if it automatically starts up after 24 hours because my pump and chlorinator are on a timer. I have to turn it on every time I turn my pool pump on. I heard the intex brand has a 24 hour timer that automatically restarts. I will do a test and update this post.

I used this on a best way 18x 12 x 48 inch deep pool. This was great to keep the pool maintained and I only had to shock it about every other week to keep the free chlorine in check. I ran this and the pump 6 hours a day and it did the trick. Much better than chlorine, you can open your eyes under water and no burning, no chlorine smell.

You must clean the metal element with vinegar once a month if you have very hard water like we do here in Las Vegas. Just unscrew the cab and dip the metal electrode into a cup of pure vinegar let it sit overnight. Some people say 3 hours results may vary. Either way it will give you an error code when it's times to get the calcium buildup off the element. Don't panic lol.
