I bought this to have a nice bright "watch" device - for finding my way at night to the bathroom etc. My Fitbit just wasn't bright enough.It has a lot of fun features - I like the ability to change the face graphic very easily. I like the "speaker phone" feature - works very well! All of the interactions with my iPhone are nice - they work well. The fit is good, with a sturdy band, and it looks nice. I also like the menu system - the touch screen is pretty amazing. Battery life is very good - and you can easily turn it off to save battery power (keeps running in low-power sleep mode, but no display)So now the "not so good stuff"1. The charging cable is pretty ridiculous. It just "sits there" on the back of the watch, held with a pair of little magnets. The slightest touch while charging and the short little cable detaches. It's the dumbest charging scheme for an electronic device I've ever used. Fortunately it charges pretty fast.2. The biometrics functions are all but useless. Don't expect this to be a Fitbit in that regard. It doesn't even reliably count steps. I wore it on 3 consecutive days with TWO of my Fitbits - in each case the Fitbits all had more or less the same step count, but this device was consistently around half. And once it gets up around 4500 steps, just stops counting at all. The heart rate function is similarly erratic. But I didn't buy it for those features - just be aware. For "fitness" stuff, get a Fitbit. This isn't a "fitness" device.3. There are a bunch of "preloadable" faces in the App - just select a new face and it appears. But the problem is many of them are just horrible... very difficult to read. At least one of them displays the month and the year, but not the day or date! Who needs a watch to tell them the YEAR?! Time travelers? They have a number of good selections you can download - but only ONE at a time. You can't replace the list of faces in the app with ones you like better - just a single one. And really - a SKULL face is the default?! Some of them are just impossible to read - like the skull. Just gimicky and not useful.I returned the first one because it didn't count steps AT ALL - I took a chance with a replacement. Given how cheap it was, and the fact the replacement isn't QUITE so erratic in the steps count I decided to just keep it. If nothing else, it tells me the time, works great as a "watch phone", and is a great "flashlight" for getting up in the middle of the night.2.5 stars all the way around
