I ordered this for healing purposes as I read it was an adaptogen. If you read up about them they are essentially herbs that gives your body what it needs, and your body will do with it for what it needs at that moment which could be calming you down or speeding you up. They are supposed to help with daily stress so your body is not in constant fight or flight. My internal guidance told me to start taking these types of herbs instead of supplement for adrenal fatigue which I'm suspecting because my body doesn't tolerate most herbs and I would probably have a reaction to the adrenal ones. In my experience, I really noticed a difference taking adaptogens. Anyway, upon researching this herb it just sounds like a good one for longevity and overall health. I did read some things about being careful about liver issues, however, if you look up any herb on the first page of the internet you're going to read about problems. I use my intuition for everything as it's always right. I have taken this daily for a while and sometimes multiple times. It's possible I had some stomach cramping when I took it several times a day, but because I have been going through a big solar plexus healing and taking random fiber it could have been that. In general, I felt better taking this. I basically made my typical tea and I put a little of this in there. It initially wants to clump in one big spot and I have to smush it on the side of my mug or glass with a spoon and it dissolves just fine in hot water. It has an earthy taste, but it mixes well with my tea I've been drinking since they are earthy too. If you're sensitive this may not be for you since it would have to be an acquired taste, but you could cover it up with some flavored teas or honey also helps. I haven't tried it in a smoothie since that's not my thing recently, but I'm sure it would hide well in there. This is a nice resealable container, and it will last me a long time. I love that this is organic, and I am a believer of eastern medicine. They kind of have it figured out over there if you haven't noticed comparing overall health/youth of societies.
