Perfect replacement for my 2016 Kia Soul 1.6 l
My 1.6l 2016 Kia Soul while driving wouldn't go past 25 mph even if you floored it. After searching the web for similar issues I concluded that a clogged catalytic might be the issue. Being a DIY myself I figured I give it a shot. Found a step by step video online on how to replace and got to work. Item is identical to the stock. Just make sure to take the heat shield the stock one has and transfer it over to this one. It came with all the parts needed. My car did have a metal gasket that connected the flexible exhaust to the car exhaust so I just re-used it. I did replace my bottom o2 sensor since the reviews stated this one goes bad first (Also bought on amazon). Car drove perfect after this. I recommend 100%. The local auto part stores want $600-800 and this amazon vendor has this quality part for a fraction of the price.

Pass on this item
Bought in early August of 2024 brand new, at the end of March 2025 (8 months), no longer works. My KIA Soul 2015 makes loud noise upon accelerating. Waiting for my replacement part. Fits great, but the quality is poor. Also, doesn’t help much when there is no clear description of warranty for the product.

It runs smooth as the day it was new.
Installed this about 3 months ago and runs smooth no hiccups. The only thing that happened was it ran and sounded like I had no exhaust after installation. Tightening the bolts more fixed problem so make sure things are properly fitted after your done. Be weary when your running diagnostics. Similar symptoms come from your MAF, MAP, and crankshaft position sensor. Also any sensor or unit involving your fuel system. My problem was the MAF, crankshaft position sensor, and Catalytic Converter. 2013 Hyundai Accent 1.4l 4cyl.Update :February 2025, the heat produced by the engine and exhaust overtime burned a whole right through it. I ended up getting the OEM directly from Hyundai. I still give this product 5 stars though because it worked for what I needed it for and it gave me time to sort my personal finances so I could afford to get the OEM replacement.

Fit, and actually worked
The cat in my daughters 2015 Kia Soul went bad, at around 70k miles. Apparently this is a known issue for this vehicle, great. It faulted with the P0420 code for converter below efficiency threshold.Anyway, a new OEM cat is $800 -$1200 and completely out of our price range solooked about on Amazon for a less expensive alternative, initially ordered another brand that was more expensive ( Luft Meister ) and it literally did not work. Made the vehicle miss-fire and run very poorly. Had to pull that one out, thankfully was Prime & the return was easy.Considering that I have now lost a 1/2 days work to the above junk part I did not want to mess with another potential bad part so went ahead and gambled again on a cheap cat, this time bought the Pulcher Flow as well as the Blrack. This Pulcher Flow is way better quality ( and a lot cheaper) than the Blrack one. The Catalyst bed looked just like the old OEM unit that we pulled out, whereas the Blrack had a different design and was just shabbily assembled and welded in comparison. Just returned the Blrack one un-used.Don’t get me wrong though, the Pulcher Flow is no where near as good as the OEM, but is literally a tenth the cost.Installation went pretty smooth, one of the heat shield tapped holes did not line up correctly though, but just used 3 of the 4 bolts and called it good for that.Car runs as normal now, check engine light cleared after about 20 miles.I cannot attest to the durability of this unit as we ended up selling the car once repaired, but I feel confident that is will last awhile given the build quality. On another note, the Pulcher Flow unit looks pretty much exactly like the $500-600 Dorman one, perhaps is the same but under a different name, who knows.Good luck with your install, took about 4 hours the first time, and only 2 the next, mainly due to knowing what to do and which tools were needed. Is a simple job, but you will want a rattle gun with wobble extensions for the exhaust flanges and a deep 10mm socket for the manifold nuts.

Worked perfectly for my 2018 KIA Soul 1.6 Engine.
Worked perfectly for my 2018 KIA Soul 1.6 Engine. I also replaced the PCV valve.. I recommend you watch the YouTube video on how to remove it, trusts me it's a really tight fit and you need to follow the steps in order. After I installed it I also replaced both sensors. I drove it to Tampa 50 miles up and another back to break it in and get the sensors to synch. It smoked a bit but thats normal, and it stuttered while the sensor adjusted,..then it ran with more power, I was getting about 22 MPG before, after replacing the CAT it's getting 29.7 MPG. Great product!!! KIA wanted to charge me $2,300!! Hell no!! Did it myself with a friends help!!!

Cheaper than the parts store
Had a customer in need of keeping his daughters car on the road and a tight budget. Local parts stores were $900-1000. This part is a fraction of the cost and fit perfectly! Even the factory heatshields bolted into place easy. Came with all hardware and gaskets. Installed on 2014 hyundai accent 1.6l took care of the p0420 code
