Great machine!!!!
I liked this machine so much, that I bought my daughter one. While there are a few annoying things, I can honestly say this is the best machine I have ever had. It is great for quilting, and I love that it is heavy, doesn't move around. There is one problem with her machine, however, the needle threader doesn't work. After looking at it, it is easy to see the hook misses the needle hole. I did all the trouble shooting trying to get it to work, and it wouldn't. Mine works well. I have contacted Juki about sending another needle threader part, to see if it is just a defective part. I would highly recommend this machine for anyone interested in free motion quilting. It is a powerhouse.

Easy to use, works great, low tech (no computer)
Bought this for my mother in law and she says it's amazing. Loves how smoothly it sews and how easy it is to use. She didn't want one with a computer, so this works great for her. She has made several new quilts with it.

Juki 2010 review
One of the better semi industrial sewing quilting machines for the home sewer. Needle up/down, slow/button, thread cutter, many other amenities.

Love this machine
Purchased for the speed control. I have another juki that doesn't have that feature and I love it. This one is about the same, but it does sound different. Noisier, even after lubricating. Only time will tell, how long it lasts.Works great for ruler work quilting, with the feed dogs down. That is going to be its primary function. Not sure that one feature - speed control - is worth the extra $200, but I'm sure prices will go up shortly, so I'm glad I did it.Love that it comes with bonus pieces also.

Great machine! With lots of glowing recommendations and a sterling history!
This was a Christmas gift from my husband. It is a fantastic sturdy machine but I had to return it because the feed dogs would go down but not back up & there was a large spot or blemish that had been recovered by touch up paint. I’ve already ordered another of the same machine from the same purveyor. I am giving them the benefit of the doubt at this point as they have made returns easy. UPS is picking this machine up tomorrow. Hopefully it’s just a fluke & the new machine arrives in perfect order :)Update! The second machine arrived quickly in perfect working order! Fantastic! BUT still waiting for my refund from previous machine. That’s usually a slower process anyway

Great Sewing Machine
I am new to quilting and after many machine reviews I decided on the Juki. Great decision. Machine is fast, however it has a speed setting which is great. Not sure how I made it without the auto thread cutter or the pressure foot lifter! Great features! I was not sure when I bought this about it only being a straight stitch, however it is the main stitch I use. Anything else I can do on the Singer. Machine is very quite and well built. Heavy enough that it does not slide around like my Singer does. Very happy with the purchase.Only con is the different pressure feet need to be bought separately to fit Juki. A little pricey. As I said I new to this and so far have not determined if after market will work.

There are some downfalls to this machine but the quality of it makes up for that
I needed a new machine and after seeing so many Youtubers and professional crafters rave about this machine. I sew almost everyday so I sprang for it. It's quite pricey but I think this will probably be my last machine due to the quality. I should mention I had a babylock Joy prior. I was intimidated to use it to be honest. I read the entire user manual, then watched two Youtube videos and felt comfortable sitting down with it. After using it for over a week now, here are some of my observations, there are quite a few negatives but they were more annoyances that I will adjust to but thought others might like to know.- You can't see the bobbin like another reviewer mentions- You have to oil it everyday that you use it. It comes with a small bottle of oil and it's messy. This is something you will have to have buy in the future if you sew a lot.-You can't switch feet with ease. I used to be able to pop off my feet and use different ones constantly, now you have to unscrew the feet and they're hard to get on and off. They are not compatible with basic machines. My teflon foot for example is useless unless I use it on my Joy.-Threading the machine takes longer. On my Joy I could thread the machine in about 2 seconds, now there are so many more contraptions to put it through, it takes longer. I will probably change out my thread colors less now because of this. I have my Joy set up still and use the colors on it while I use basic white with the Juki. For now.-I was surprised that I already broke a needle. I never broke one before and I was going slow over a zipper. That was a shocker.-The bonus pack: not sure what that is. It comes with 3 feet (regular, zipper, walking), oil, needles, tools and 8 bobbins. Just the basics. All this is worth it though, it's a great machine and I understand the hype over it. The thread cutter is worth it's weight, no more wasting thread. It's my favorite feature. I can use a thread cone on it, finally, always wanted to use these. It's very quiet, I read a reviewer said it was loud, it's not and maybe she's not oiling it daily. It's powerful and steady. Now when I use my Joy, I can see the difference in quality. I almost returned it due to all the above complaints but decided that I just needed to get used to it and I have. Great machine.
