Great for Listening to CD Books
I bought this for listening to books on CD. It’s a perfect, small size that fits almost anywhere and it runs on batteries or electricity. The sound quality for book narration is very clear. I haven’t tried the radio or music CD’s. I’m pleased with this purchase.

CD and Radio
The sound is wonderful. It's a compact size to it was easy to find a spot for it. The radio tuning is a dial so it can be a bit tricky to find the station you're looking for.

perfect boombox! For the money
Great product for the money but would only work with electricity and not the 6C batteries. I called Magnavox and said probably a loose wire. It is a nice size but would like it to work on batteries. Thank you. A really good buy for the price. Will send for another one.Received replacement in a few days. Works perfectly this time. Will also use it for playing cds in thr car and when gardening. Very pleased!

It certainly plays CD's just fine, but man those speakers...
This is definitely a CD player (and theoretically a radio, but I'm not using it for that). It's compact and looks fine. It plays audio CDs (but as far as I can tell, does not play MP3 CDs or anything). It has the worst speakers this side of the Dollar Tree. Muffled and somehow at the same time tinny. I can only describe it as "If I had to listen to music through these, I would hate music."thankfully I'm just using it to play lullabies for my kid at night and he doesn't seem to mind.I haven't tried the radio. I imagine it would have the same sound issues and the station uses a dial on the side with the number pressed into the dial so it seems kind of... difficult to tune but again, I haven't tried it since I don't need it... but if you need a radio I would recommend spending an extra three fiddy and getting something that shows the station on some kind of display... or at least a station BAR and not this dial. It has a little LED display but it only shows CD track numbers or the word "NO" when there's nothing loaded.Additionally there is no line out jack, so you can't connect it to better speakers. There IS a line-in jack if you have another device you want to play through this to punish yourself.Honestly, this is a music machine and it can only be used to listen to music poorly. Save your allowance, wait a week or two and get something better.

Small and simple
Just perfect for my basic need to play my CD collection. Perfectly packaged and delivered. So easy to operate, and the volume level is fine and perfect for apt living. Love the minimal size as well. Have had several boom boxes in past, and this is by far the easiest to operate. Excellent quality at a fine price.

Great portable cd player
This is perfect for my daughters room. It's portable and lightweight so I can put it anywhere out of her reach. I can put it on repeat so the songs play all night until I turn them off in the morning. This item was definitely worth the price.

Great value and good sound quality!
This CD/radio fits so well in small places. It is perfect. The buttons are small which I like but maybe somebody with large hands would not like. Overall, this is a beautifully designed machine. The sound quality is excellent too!

Plays well but didn't last long.
I loved this boombox because it was so easy to use, gave a loud sound for such a small box, and it played my home-made CD's just fine. However, it only lasted 1-1/2 years. It broke. I could hear something rattle inside. Also, the radio must have a weak signal. Couldn't hear most channels. I am buying another one because I'm low income and I can't afford more expensive models. I hope this one will last longer.
