Lovely clock from "used - like new". I popped an AA battery in and set the time. It's working OK and silent in the bedroom so can sleep OK without the ticking crunching noise you get from incremental clock movements! 10 out of 10! The size is about right and it looks the part for the money paid. It is plastic but the quality is there. I'm not sure on the battery life but I expect about 12 months from a clock on average so we will see!

I've been wanting a clock for my hall for a while, and this one (25cm silver) looked good in the photographs on the product's web page on Amazon, and it was a good price too.However, once I received it, its appearance didn't meet expectations. The numbers printed on the dial looked a little too bold and large, and although it was silver, it looked too much like plastic. I could have perhaps lived with that, however, I reluctantly decided to return it because the back edge of the case didn't sit flat against the wall and was very noticeable when I saw it descending the stairs.On the plus side, I liked the sweep second hand, the clock was silent and it kept very good time, gaining only a second in two weeks. It also came with a hook to attach it to the wall. It runs on a single AA battery (not supplied).My disappointment in its appearance is, of course, subjective and other purchasers may not find it a problem.

Great looking clock - looks more expensive than it actually is - and most importantly, keeps good time and is completely silently, even when next to it!

It plastic, not wood. But I love it.

Got up this morning not working tried 3 batteries not working
