Absolutely destroys the Florida heat and humidity
Got this window air-conditioner because the portable ac unit is was using was unable to keep up with the Florida heat. This thing is an absolute beast. It doesn't struggle at all to beat the 100% humidity at 94 degree temperatures. Set it to eco mode at 72 degrees and it's not even bothered by my gaming PC running in the same room. It's awesome. Worth the price

Excellent delivery time.
It's an AC unit. It works like an AC unit, it sounds like an AC unit. Also it was delivered 4 days early.. with an extra filter and a free washer/dryer owners and installation manual with the AC owners manual..

NOT HAPPY
UPDATE 2: It is now Sept. 30th and am constantly getting the " P1 " code. having to drain the front pump all the time is really starting to irk me. I know full well it is going to cost me to have someone come out to repair it let alone them having to remove it from the window to do so. I really thought I was on to something when I found the pink slime on the filter. It no longer gets that but the cleaning only lasted a few days before i had the code again. Now sometimes it stops more than once per day. NEVER will I buy from GE again. It is apparently going to be the pump that needs replaced on a 3 month old A/C.Bought his during the heatwave to replace a 7 year old same BTU A/C.My brother installed it from inside and didn't seem to struggle with it ( by himself ). I can't lift anything due to health issue, but he came over to install it for me. I helped by having everything ready for him so he didn't have to read and scramble for the parts and insulation stuff.I feel a lot safer with this unit on the grounds, that it sits below the window sill and allows an exit point in case of emergency. Also the fact, we can look out our window now with ease.I would like to point out, there is a side filter which needs to come out on the left side, so the unit can not be installed against the wall. You will need some space between it, That was exactly my concern when reading the instructions and care booklet. I have a wall right next to the window, but we were able to move the A/C over a little to the right instead of centering it in the window, and it gave me enough space to remove the filter when needed.UPDATE: I started getting a " P1 " code and unit would shut down. In the troubleshooting section of the manual, it says to clean the front side drain filter. So I did, and drained the front. I got about 16oz of water out of it. I need to note, there was some type of pinkish slime on the filter, I cannot imagine any water flowing through the filter with it being coated with this stuff. I took it to the kitchen sink and cleaned it with dish detergent and then soaked it for 5 minutes, rinsing it off afterwards. Reinstalled and am now waiting to see what happens. Not very happy as this is barely 3 months after purchase.

Good
Edit after a having it a long while:Got wifi working which made huge difference not having to push the invisible buttons all the time now since I was able to create a schedule in the app. Now I have to say i would in fact recommend it. Still cools well does it's job and looks good.Overall: I can't recommend it. In it's current version, too many flaws for the price-tag. There is *probably* a better view-preserving window-unit out there.Pros:1) The saddle style AC, clearly an obvious reason for anyone buying these in the first place, is pretty awesome. Looks good inside and outside of the house. I have a nice view from my bedside window that is nice to be able to still enjoy in summer.2) The general design, form, and weight of the unit is nice.3) Easy installation, quality installation materials. The first time I've ever had a window AC perfectly seal around the frame with easy.4) It works! Keeps my 400sqft~ish room nice and cool.Cons:1) The display and buttons are "touch" light-up buttons. They are not physical buttons (cannot feel them) and the lights go off when idle. Incredibly hard to see, be it day or night. At night the lights are off and in a dark room, you have no clue where any of the buttons are. During the day, the lights are drown out by daylight... so, so frustrating.2) This is minor since it still looks good and hasn't broken yet but some of the interior plastic and metal framing seems cheap/flimsy. The exterior framing on mine is slightly bent on the outside just from the very smooth install.3) Noise: it's not quiet. I'd expect more from a relatively expensive unit. When the compressor shuts off it sounds like a small bomb. Lol... it scares me every night right as I'm almost asleep.4) I can't figure out how to connect the WiFi instructions say there is supposed to be a sticker on the unit with WiFi information, but there is not... at least not anywhere easy to find. I'm living without it for now although I'd very much like it to work. Having to call to resolve this is highly inconvenient.5) The fan on the unit seems weak. Not a lot of pressure from the output, I have a tower fan next to the unit to help spread the cool air. Haven't tried without the tower fan so not sure how the room would fare without it.

The best window air conditioner I've ever purchased
Love how quiet it is, and how low in the window it is.I'm writing to this to let people know of a modification they can make to it. With a philips head screwdriver you can remove the rear cover, feed the flexible condensate eject tube through the slots in that cover, and replace the cover. You have routed the tubing out of the enclosure so the condensate is ejected externally. Now place that tube into a larger PVC drain and have the water run out away from the house. No more algae and rust, and especially useful if you are placing the unit where a porch is underneath it, like me. Keeps it dry.
